This bachelor thesis is about analytical determination of plastic zone shape at the crack tip using Von Mises and max yield criterions. Next goal is obtain characterictic parameters of kinked crack. Theoretical part clarifies some basic concepts needed to understand the analytical models, then follows the analytical solution itself.

Design Concept for Noise Reduction at the Turbocharger Inlet

This work deals with the design of measures of noise reduction at the entrance to the TCR 16 turbocharger from PBS Turbo s.r.o. The solution is based on harmonic acoustic analysis using the finite element method of the Ansys program, where this method first determines the transmission losses of the existing configuration and then compares the two design solutions with the original configuration. In this way, it is determined whether the benefit of the design measure is sufficient.
