The effect of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation on the dynamic stability of the lower limbs among the female softball players
Borůvková, Kristýna ; Srbová, Radmila (advisor) ; Froňková, Eliška (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on dynamic stability in junior softball players and examines the possibilities of influencing it with interventions based on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. The theoretical part of the work defines basic concepts, the practical part consists of a professional study. The female players of the selected sample were divided into experimental and control groups and their dynamic stability was measured by the Y-Balance test. The results were subsequently compared with the standardized deviation, which shows the limit of the risk of injury to the lower extremities. The measurements performed neither confirmed nor disproved whether it is possible to influence the dynamic stability of the lower limbs using proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation.
Effect of respiratory physiotherapy in conjunction with chest releasing techniques in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Ocelková, Soňa ; Srbová, Radmila (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
The main objective: This study aims to answer the question of whether one therapy, which focuses on chest exercises, can have a positive effect on the values of FVC (Forced Vital Capacity). Methods: The participants of this study were patients hospitalized in the internal medicine inpatient ward of the C2 Faculty Hospital Královské Vinohrady. They were selected by the head of my study, who comes to this ward regularly and knows the patients' health condition. The participants were individually asked if they wanted to participate in the study voluntarily. The condition for participation in the study was a definitive diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). A total of 15 individuals, 7 females and 8 males, participated in the study. Their heart rate, haemoglobin saturation and FVC were measured both before and after the intervention. The therapist then completed the Barthel index (BI) questionnaire and the participants filled out the anamnestic-diagnostic questionnaire and the SF-36 scoring questionnaire. Results: 19 individuals were originally selected for this study, of which 11 were men and 8 were women. However, 3 probands withdrew during the study and 1 proband was eliminated. The mean age of all probands is 73 ± 7.38 years (males 69 ± 6.88 years, females 77 ± 5.07 years). The...
Function of the musculus vastus medialis obliquus and its influence on patellofemoral joint at ice-hockey players from the perspective of physiotherapist
Sklenářová, Nikola ; Srbová, Radmila (advisor) ; Zeman, Josef (referee)
The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to find out in adolescent ice hockey players whether the pain of patellofemoral articulation is caused by muscle dysbalance, especially by the weakening of vastus medialis obliquus. Methods: Ice hockey players from the HC Zubr Přerov hockey club who were approached by their coaches took part in this study. Participation in the study is entirely voluntary, so the choice of probands is random. The entry criterion for entry into the study was the age range of ice hockey players aged 15 to 18 years. Another criterion was that individuals should not have prior knee injury (ligament or meniscus rupture, fracture…), arthroscopic examination, or knee surgery. Results: 20 male probands were examined. The average age of the examined file is 16, 05 years. Of the 20 probands examined, 16 of them have at least one-sided weakening of vastus medialis obliquus, which is 80% of all examined. The relationship between the weakened vastus medialis obliquus and patellofemoral pain in ice hockey players has not been established. Comparison of statistical processing results of 0.02 with a critical value of 3.84 (p <0.05) is not statistically significant. Conclusion: H1 is therefore accepted as the presence of weakening of unilateral weakening of vastus medialis obliquus in...
