Luxmeter
Velím, Michael ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the matter of measuring working light with the aim to design a luxmeter with the range of 50 – 1000 lx. The purpose of this device is to define the amount of light in the room. From these measurements we can get the information if the source of the light is good enough for the type of work which is being processed in the room. The thesis has two main parts – theoretical research and practical suggest of completing the device. In the first part the author describes the matter of illumination and tries to state which light source is good for different workplaces. The second part is mainly practical and it deals with the completion of the lumeter. Also it talks about the calibration measurements of the device. The components for this luxmeter were picked up after a literary research. The author also emphasises further characteristics of each component.
Program for measuring response time to visual and auditory stimulation
Machatý, Jiří ; Škutková, Helena (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The work was written in C + + whit qt toolkit: a "program for the measurement of reaction time to visual and auditory stimulus, which was tested on a group of patients and statistically evaluated the reaction time to visual and auditory stimuli. Measurements were performed on the age group from 18 to 28 years, which was not in any way physically or mentally handicapped.
Human hearing sensitivity assesment
Tinka, Dominik ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Škutková, Helena (advisor)
Bachelor thesis aims to evaluate changes of sensitive human hearing through created mobile application. According to obtained teoretical knowledges mobile application provide audiometrical measurements. In connection with this is described adjustments of sound outcomes of mobile, which is set in pursuance of calibrate unit. In the next part is described methodics of measuring and processing measured data. Static evaluation is processed on collected measured data from one proband and group of probands. Measurements on one proband were repeated for couple of days. The end of this thesis discusses about obtained results, which challenges the hypothes about sensitivity of hearing.
Expert System for Detection of Ventricular Extrasystoles
Svánovská, Zuzana ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Ventricular premature beats are ectopic changes in the ECG signal. Detection of ventricular extrasystoles on 12leads ECG was created in MATLAB. At first my work involves whether the ventricular premature beats comes from the right or the left ventricle. Another algorithm evaluates the incidence outflow tract of the chamber. If the previous algorithm shows signs of indecision, another algorithm is used for detection of ventricular extrasystoles at another location in the left ventricle. The last step is to narrow the area of detection which makes it easier to find the place of origin.
Comparative study of body temperature measurement using various technologies
Vaněk, Ondřej ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Provazník, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this work is to compare the body temperature measurement with different contact thermometers. The theoretical part includes studying the topic, familiarization with the situation at the Faculty Hospital Brno, Bohunice and suggestion of method for comparison. The practical part includes thermometers measurement in the laboratory to verify the accuracy, clinical measurement on patients in different parts of the body and under various conditions and statistical evaluation of results.
Colorimeter for Medical Applications with NFC Connections
Šobich, Adam ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with assembling of a colorimeter using NFC technology. The theoretical part introduces the principles of colorimetric measurement, calibration curve, and important physical quantities. Further, the principle of NFC technology, its architecture, and division of NFC devices are described. The goal of the practical part is to propose a structural design and software solution of a colorimeter. Particular emphasis is placed on the selection of the RGB sensor that is being tested and its results are being analyzed. The construction of electrical circuit and microprocessor control are being solved. The manuscript deals with the implementation of an application for the Android operating system, which serves as the user interface of the colorimeter. Obtaining data from the sensor and storing it in a memory of the NFC tag is provided by the Arduino platform. Issues that were encountered during the work are analyzed in the discussion.
EEG Signal Analysis during the Stroop Test
Tolaszová, Eva ; Roman,, Robert (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with the measurement of biological signals for the effect of psychological burden. To monitor this effect was elected Stroop test, which is in the psychology used to detect disorders of attention and concentration. EEG and ECG signals during Stroop test were obtained using the EEG recording systém, in the context of research evoked potentials. As a part of the work it has been designed custom application for analyzing and interpreting data and statistical analysis by t-test.
Accuracy of Personal Glucometers
Kroulíková, Markéta ; Němcová, Andrea (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with accuracy measurement of personal glucometers. The theoretical part is focused on processing information about glucose and its role in organism, diabetes mellitus, procedures and devices used in self-monitoring of glucose. The next part is focused on preparation of practical part, especially describing available personal glucometer, testing its measuring accuracy, the calculation of necessary measurements to perform the experiment and a description of the reference sample for data measurement.
Digital Clock to be set using the NTP Protocol
Vykydal, Lukáš ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this work is the principle of NTP synchronization and required level of network communication. In the second part the work describes design of digital clock which is synchronized using this technique. That way we achieve automatic time adjustment and keeping the time within reasonable error.
Eliminator of dental calculus
Šobich, Adam ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on system design of eliminator of dental calculus operating at a frequency of 27 kHz and reaching the intensity of ultrasound on the applicator tip to 5 W/cm2. The work analyzes problems of dental calculus, principle of ultrasonic waves and the physical phenomena occurring in the environment, which it passes. Another part of the work describes the creation of waves using ultrasonic transducer and the amplification of ultrasound in the waveguide. Practical part of work is presented by functional diagram, which describes the sequence and function of the main parts of the device. The Bachelor’s thesis presents individual steps for design of applicator and the circuit for eliminator of dental calculus, including calculations and diagrams. The resulting circuit is experimentally verified and supplemented with draft of the printed circuit board.
