COMPLEX ANALYSIS OF COMMON OBSERVATION TIME OF MOVING VEHICLE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS FOR EVALUATION OF TRAFFIC SITUATION
Sedlák, Robert ; Rábek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Kropáč, František (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
In the doctoral thesis is derived a theoretical equations for calculating the minimum recognizable change in position of an object by the observer. To assess the suitability of this approach theory tests were carried out on the test track. Tests confirmed the theoretical explanation for three of the five test persons. In the event of a head-on observations were at greater distances longer times of fixation, at the side watching the observation times at short and long distances were without significant differences. Further tests were carried out in urban traffic intersections in day and night time Statistical evaluation was found that if to the intersection did not come any vehicle, the median observation time was 0,4 s (night) and 0,56 s (day), if to the intersection were coming vehicle, the median observation time was 0,74 (night) and 1,06 (day), the median of the check view was 0,12 s for both day and night. There were also statistically evaluated motor skills of turning the driver's head when looking around the intersection. The median time interval rotation of the head from a straight line to the left, straight line to the right and vice versa was 0,36 s, median time period of rotation of the head from left to right and vice versa was 0,56 s.
Methodology for Evaluation of the Possibility of Correct Assessment of a Transport Situation by Drivers Depending on the Speed of the Observed Vehicle at Main Road
Vlček, Michal ; Plch, Jiří (referee) ; Sedlák, Robert (advisor)
This master thesis deals with methodology for the possibility of properly evaluation the traffic situation by the driver based on the speed observation of a vehicle moving along the main road. It is outlined from the physicist aspect of the visual system of man and the vision of the man as a required element in the transport and traffic situation with variable speed.
Ponava – Potential of Area Development
Kálalová, Kateřina ; Sedlák, Robert (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The subject of the project is a consideration of the fact that the area of Ponava is not used sufficiently. This concerns mainly the complex of the former football stadium. The goal is to find a solution that brings life into the area and is able to evaluate the potentials of the place, while not erasing the traces of the past. The main principles used in this project could be patterns how to bring life to other brownfields in Brno and elsewhere.
Usual time and frequency of road traffic signs observation by the driver
Tlačbabová, Jana ; Sedlák, Robert (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
The thesis deals with usual time and frequency of road traffic signs observation by the driver. In the first part is a literature research, there is described the measuring device called eyetracker, that is used to record the eye movement. Furthermore there are kinds of eyetrackers that are currently used. There is also described traffic signs form 1961 until 2009. The second part draws of the video records from driving tests, which were conducted in the towards of this thesis. The results were processed and evaluated data were determinated to find the usual time of observation of traffic signs of drivers and their comparison with the time devoted to driving.
Usual time and frequency of selected traffic situations observation by the driver
Nováková, Darja ; Sedlák, Robert (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
The aim of this work is evaluate usual time and frequency of selected traffic situations observation by the driver. A necessary part of this problem is a driver in this context is described herein personality driver and psychological factors that affect it during the process of driving in traffic. The important part is played by visual system driver and his perception of stimuli. The thesis also outlines the problems concerning the importance of transport routes, its environment and transport vehicle for drivers. The practical part is devoted to the evaluation of video recordings in the field driving tests on the basis of which it was possible to determine the frequency and duration of glances in selected situations in traffic.
Perception of vehicle speed
Šlapalová, Eva ; Sedlák, Robert (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the perception of the speed of the vehicle from the point of view of the driver without the possibility of checking the speedometer. The theoretical part is devoted to the driver as a risk factor and vehicle research. The practical part consists of conducted driving tests concerning the subjective perception of the driver according to age, experience and type of vehicle.
Renewal of the Mill Grounds In Tasovice
Joja, Marie ; Sedlák, Robert (referee) ; Ponešová, Barbora (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the renewal of the Renewal of the Mill Grounds In Tasovice. The scenario of renewal includes four basic stages of recovery of the complex. In the first phase, grounds are cleaned and structures conserved together with defining exterior areas of the site that will be used for the second phase of temporary use in the form of cultural events of the village. In the third phase the approach is to restore individual objects and find appropriate functional content of each. The final stage is the functional filling of the entire complex and unification.
Analysis of vehicles driving maneuvers at low coefficient of adhesion
Šabík, Matúš ; Sedlák, Robert (referee) ; Tokař, Stanislav (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with driving maneuvers at low coefficient of adhesion, especially in winter season. It includes a list of adhesion coefficients on many surfaces, published by various authors. Figures were through the use of statistical methods divided into normal and exceeding. There are described terms having impact on adhesion. For determination of adhesion was used tests like emergency braking, circle test and slalom. The major part contains specification of used vehicles, surfaces, weather conditions, measuring devices and realized tests. In addition to using accelerometer, there was a successful attempt to use timekeeping facilities to determine deceleration of vehicle. Acquired data were processed and compared to another publications.
Eye Perception of Drivers in Traffic
Vorálková, Kateřina ; Plch, Jiří (referee) ; Sedlák, Robert (advisor)
The aim of thesis is a summary and assessment of perception of drivers in traffic from the view of psychology and its influence on various aspects and the resulting effects on driving. Furthermore, it is mainly a description of the visual system and the description of light as factor of visual perception. The thesis also presents two experiments refer to the reaction time and mental reactions of driver, depending on drank out alcohol. Results of the first test of reaction time starting at the traffic lights were just a confirmation of the mentioned values from different publications and the Internet. The results of the second test, which was focused on the emotional reaction depending on the amount of ingested alcohol would be surprising to many.
Usual time and frequency of mirrors and dashboard observation by the driver
Krejčí, Vojtěch ; Sedlák, Robert (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
The thesis deals with the analysis of the usual time and frequency of vehicle mirrors and dashboard observation. Within the theoretical part are summarized the current knowledge of the visual distraction of the driver, or circumstances which affect the conduct and behavior of the driver while driving. Furthermore there is a closer approximation and characterization of devices for recording the driver's eye movement, which is used during the measurement of the usual time of observation. This data is used in the experimental part of the thesis. The results were processed and statistically analyzed to determine the usual time of mirrors and dashboard observation. Conclusions done from the measurement results are contained in the last chapter, which also evaluates contribution of this work to practical use in the field of analysis of road accidents and to improve safety on our roads.
