System optimization of a work organization in civic association which provides social services

The thesis is concerned with the optimization of a systemic approach towards work organisation and it's particularities in civic associations which provide public social services. The thesis is aiming to highlight the necessity to organise work in a mutual coherence and with regard to significant factors which determinates this situation. In order to analyse the process and current needs in the field of work organisation a qualitative research - a case study of one association, IQ Roma servis primarily active in socially excluded Romany communities was used. During the period 2003-2007 the examined association experienced significant personal, programme and operational boom, strongly influenced through large Equal project. The original organisational system was destabilised and showed a need for overall transformation. The research diagnosed problems mainly in chaotic and competencies and confusing relationships between workers that caused (among others) ineffective communication, delegation etc. The thesis presented some final outcomes in a form of recommendations to improve this situation.
