Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Candidate: Mgr. Kateřina Schejbalová Supervisor: Doc. MUDr. Josef Herink, Dr.Sc. Consultant: Kpt. PharmDr. Vendula Hepnarová Title of thesis: Determination of pharmacokinetic properties of potential drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease Alzheimer's disease (AD) is an illness caused by neurodegenerative changes in the brain tissue. It belongs to the diseases that lead to the origin of dementia. The occurrence of this illness has been rising over past years. Unfortunately, the causative treatment has not been found yet and the only available treatment is the symptomatic one. Therefore, it is necessary strive towards the discovery new and more efficient drugs. The aim of this thesis is to determinate the inhibiting concentrations and to measure the antioxidative activity of the new synthetic potential anti-Alzheimer drugs. Seven hybrids of 6 - chlorotacrine - tryptophan (6-Cl-THA-Trp), 7 - methoxytacrine - tryptophan (7-MEOTA-Trp) and tacrine - tryptophan (THA-Trp) were tested. The in vitro inhibiting potentials of the tested compounds against human acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) were evaluated. Spectrophotometer was used for the measurements by...

Schejbalová, Kateřina ; Drhová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Mička, Pavel (referee)
This thesis examines prerequisites of the implementation of environmental education in the Czech Republic. It identifies fundamental problems of the current implementation of environmental education and presents key points which the policy should focus on in order to improve the quality of environmental education. This is achieved by analysing public documents and a research of the actual execution of environmental education on high schools in Prague. Environmental education is considered to be the primary instrument to apply the concept of sustainable development. The methodology is based on an analysis of primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative data. The theory of implementation is used as the theoretic basis of the thesis. A research of the execution of environmental education on different types of schools is included. There are subtle differences in the way how different types of schools implement environmental education, the most developed education is on technical high schools which provide four-year programmes concluded by graduation. Following issues were found to be the primary obstacles to the effective implementation of environmental education: unclear position of environmental education in terms of the education framework; passive attitude of the state administration;...

Title: Corrective physical education in pnmary school curricula (grades 1-9) and its implementation in a targeted experimental group of older students at the Strančice Primary School. This thesis summarizes the current corrective physical education included in primary school curricula. It deals with the effectiveness of incorporating corrective exercises in physical education classes and the decrease in functional musculoskeletal disorders in a selected group of students. Aim of the thesis: The thesis attempts to map the use of corrective physical education in primary school curricula. lt also clarifies the necessity of regular inclusion of corrective exercises in physical education classes, especially in a selected group for which functional musculoskeletal disorders were found. The thesis evaluates the effectiveness of using corrective exercises by observing a selected group of students with functional musculoskeletal disorders throughout a certain period of time. Methodology: A selected group of second-level primary school students were observed long- term and tested using simple tests to map the current state of a group of primary school students. The tests and subsequent corrective exercises were chosen to adequately meet the physical education teacher's time and material possibilities....
