Real-time text translation with using mobile devices
Sztefek, Lukáš ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Samek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is design and implementation of Android application which will serve as real-time translator from one language to another, including several world languages and Czech. The text obtained from image is translated and replaces the original one with keeping its visual look as much as possible. The reader gradually gets familiar with getting text from images, text translation, displaying text on mobile device and Android OS implementation. In conclusion, the experiments with multiple input images and comparison of existings applications have been done.
Mozilla as a Development Platform
Vídeňský, Martin ; Schäfer, Jiří (referee) ; Samek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with introduction of Mozilla as a development platform. Thesis is divided into four parts. The first one consists of a theoretical introduction, which describes architecture, the most important technologies and motivation for usage of Mozilla as a development platform. The second part leads step by step threw making own project. The third part is dedicated to description of the example application Tester. Tester is an e-learning project designed for easier learning process with scope on vocabulary practise. In the conclusion of thesis, there is the evaluation of Mozilla platform based on practical experience.
Configurable Security Email Proxy
Židek, Stanislav ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Cvrček, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design and implementation of multiuser configurable system capable of securing communication via electronic mail. Emphasis is put especially on remote configuration. It also describes existing protocols used for this communication and some of the mechanisms that can secure this communication from different points of view.
Web Application for Organizing Scientific Papers with Reference Search
Melkes, Miloslav ; Malačka, Ondřej (referee) ; Samek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of an web application for organizing scientic papers with citations search on web portals of scientic papers. On the web application users manage their library of documents or can search of public documents in the application. The thesis contains informations about citation formats, web portals of scientic papers and applications for manage documents. In this work is also described application design, technologies for application development and the implementation, which is focus on work with documents and citations. The final section provides comparison with software of similar functionality.
Recognition of Objects in Pictures
Nedoma, David ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
This thesis is about solving a problem of recognition of objects in pictures. The aim was to create a program that will be able to recognize objects in an image. Describes progressively step by step processing of image data. Shortly describes preprocessing of image, after that describes in detail segmentation, description of segmented data and classification of objects. Describes algorithms and methods that are applicable for each step.
Trust and Reputation in Distributed Systems
Malačka, Ondřej ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The goal of this master's thesis is to design and implement agent system for dealing with sportsmen. It will be possible to apply trust and reputation principles on this system. This system is implemented in Jason agent language. Agents there posing as sports club managers. The main target of these managers is to have the maximal profit. The environment of agents is changing by playing the matches between the teams. Players quality evalution follows the played matches. Based on played matches, managers can evaluate the worth of each player and trade them in order to achieve the maximal possible profit. Untrustworthy agents take a place in this system. These agents overvalue their players using inccorect behavior. The experiments will be made within this masters's thesis in order to compare gain of apllication trust and reputation principles.
Simulation of Complex Installment Schedule
Veselý, Michal ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Samek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to examine relations from the field of financial mathematics concerning consumer and cash loans. Further objects of interest are various types of loan repaying, interest calculation and generating the installment schedule. The result of this mathemetical principles analysis is a complex simulator of installment schedule which was created for testing and configuration purposes in HCI company (Home Credit International).
Communication and Controlling Arduino Components with Using Mobile Device
Moravec, Zbyněk ; Král, Jiří (referee) ; Samek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe basics of using wireless technologies on Android and Arduino platforms. The text also deals with design and implementation of library for simplifying communication between these platforms. The library ensure communication via several wireless technologies and provide access to functions of Arduino.
Interface for Creation of Game Agents in Jason
Rusnák, Jakub ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Král, Jiří (advisor)
Thesis deals with creation of interface for creating agents in Jason programming language for Unreal Tournament 2004. Reader is introduced to theory of agent systems, UnrealTournament game and GameBots environment. The paper describes design of this interface and it's implementation. It also deals with the problem of finding path for bots in game. It desribes creation of your own bot using this interface. Finally, efficiency of solution is evaluated.
Motion Controlling of a Robotic Car by RaspberryPi and Camera
Brhel, Miroslav ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This Master's Thesis deals with the controlling of robotic car by Raspberry Pi and the ca- mera. Theoretical part describes individual steps of image processing and probabilistic plan- ning for searching path in the work space. In particular, algorithm RRT (Rapidly-exploring Random Tree) is discussed and the balanced bidirectional RRT is further introduced and used for nonholonomic planning in configuration space. Next chapter speaks about propo- sed solution and there is the accurate description of connection Raspberry Pi to the robotic car. Rest of the work provides look at implemetation details and evaluation. In the end, conclusion was given and some improvements were suggested.
