Svratka Embankment in Brno - Architectural and Urban study

Diploma thesis deals with embankment of the river Svratka in Brno. The project follows two previous semesters when I elaborated the analysis of embankment and also designed small interventions. The project tries to support the activities along the river to attract people to visit its embankment. One of the designed interventions is the "Sculpture Park" - nature gallery of sculptures. The thesis also deals with the design of objects which are dedicated to housing for the elderly. This housing is supplemented by public facilities which serve both accommodated people and people nearby.

Revitalization of Film studios in Zlín

The thesis is focused on the revitalization of the Zlín film studios, with maximum respect for the principles of the investor, using the area in the long term. Idea thesis consists in consolidating the roots of film history, familiarity with film themes and issues for every generation. It also ensures that the area live 24 hours a day. For this reason, in the area of proposed areas not only public facilities, manufacturing, sport but also areas for housing. Campus should become a place where everyone would like to return, whether for entertainment, recreation, leisure and entertainment

Reconstrution of the brewery- Boskovice

The aim of the thesis was to design a renewal of old brewery in Boskovice in Blansko county. There is a restaurant with small home brewery, beer spa and multifunctional hall with facilities. Bigger structures built are: extension on the western faccade, which is characterised by its mass turned towards view on the ruins of old Boskovice castle and creation of passage that shortens local walking path. All types of services are accesible for disabled persons. There is a small piece of land next to the building where 6 parking slots are built. Two of them serve for disabled persons.

Multi-funkcional building, Brno - Kraví hora

Poly-functional building focused on ecology and education. It is situated in recreational place in Brno, Kravi hora. On the side of the hill with great view for the city centre. The exact location of the object at the plot respect natural conditions. So it is partly covered under ground which works like protection from the north side and creates harmony with the place. The south and east sides are wide open for solar profits. Use of materials respect this as well. Concrete wall covered with stone at the cool side and on the other side opened wooden construction and glass. The flat green roof is accessible with perfect view. The building and terrain creates by its northern side protected place for the outdoor amphitheatre with technical support included in the building.

Guesthouse Repechy - renewal and extension of farmhouse

This bachelor thesis is based on an atelier project, which was elaborated during the summer semester of the third year of bachelor study. The subject of this work is restoration and completion of the former rustic building (farmhouse) situated on the outskirts of the village Repechy in the Olomouc Region, district of Prostejov. The building was probably built in the early 20th century. Its current state of disrepair was caused by the 2nd World War events, later inappropriate interventions and prolonged neglect and decay of the building. The building is mostly constructed from bricks and stone. The construction had several stages. At first, a two-story, partly cellared living area with nonresidential attic and associated economic parts was built. The cowsheds were built in the form of the "U" letter in the next stage. The object thereby got a character of an enclosed building with an outdoor atrium. A metal roof was later built over the atrium. The main aim of the project was to preserve the original shape and the appearance of a typical farmhouse as much as possible, while providing a new functional use, which might attract tourism to the Repechy village and embrace the charming landscape of Drahanské Highlands. This design considers the function of a pension with services such as recreational trips, including dining options, wellness stays, agrotourism and cycling. Hippotherapy is perhaps the most important function of the pension, the stalls part was specifically designed for its purposes. Due to the unsatisfactory state of disrepair of the building, it is more of a demolition, rather than completion and a subsequent reconstruction. Conservation of only the historically oldest and the most decorated northeastern frontage and the north-western corner of the original residential area is considered. Water in an Urbanized Environment Svratka Raceway

The dissertation describes the historic development of watercourses in Brno territory focusing on the artificial canal Svratka raceway and the present state is described based on the available map data, preserved picture materials and photographic documentation of the present state. The work offers memories of several people from Brno who remember the artificial watercourse, these complete the picture of the Svratka raceway at the time of its extinction. The dissertation documents the present state of areas where the raceway used to run and on which it bordered. What attitude the twin towns of Brno - Leipzig and Graz - take, is outlined in the chapter Examples of Raceway and Natural Stream Reconstruction in Here and Abroad. The presented work should serve as a comprehensive source material for further study of Svratka raceway and further possible studies of arrangement of the areas where the raceway used to run and its - at least - partial reconstruction.

The bachelorˇs thesis apartment complex Sadová. Work solves a lot from urban and architecture viewpoint. Complex is created by three apartment houses with three above-ground levels and 1 underground level. A lot is divided on relax and traffic zone. The simple frame and Velox system solution support low-energy solution. Main part of thesis is process on realization projct level.

Diplomová práce se zabývá transformací a novým návrhem funkčního využití území areálu výstaviště v Brně. Areál je vymezen od jihu velkým městským okruhem města Brna a od severu ulicí Hlinky. Cílem návrhu bylo oživit stávající hodnotné území tak, aby se z něho stal fungující městský organismus volně přístupný veřejnosti, který by tvořil symbiózu mezi historickou částí výstaviště a nově navrženou částí.

Urban study thesis deals with the more efficient utilization of the Brno Exhibition Centre in the longer term. The natural boundaries of the area in the alluvial plain formed on the northeast Hlinky street and Žlutý kopec, from the south-west street Bauer then head along the river Svratka. Thanks to its location near the city center and direct connection to the Prague highway is an important area ideal for design features of national importance. The aim is to open area all year round to the public and offer a diverse year-round and daily functional use. The effort is in place to attract as many people who will want to return. The original idea is to complete the entire structure of the new buildings in the western part of the terms of the original urban concept axes going from Pavilion A. The territory is divided into four functional zones - exhibitions, sport and recreation , work, education and culture. Additional functions of housing and facilities for the needs of the exhibition as well as other companies. In terms of transport, emphasis is put on pedestrians, cyclists and calmed character of motorized traffic. The area intersects several hiking trails connecting the Hlinky street and Bauerova street.

Living in a small town, Urban architectural study of developing of housing in the city Uhersky Ostroh. Following student's previous school works dealing generally with problematics of development of city Uherský Ostroh, in diploma thesis will be student focused closely and specifically on housing issues. Analyze potencial opportunities of housing development in the city urbaned structures like not used residental and industrial objects or undeveloped plots inside the city, but with potencial to be suitable for housing function with respect to the ideas of compact city, local values and traditions, but also limited developement potential.
