The second method was qualitative - 3 case studies (2 women, 1 man, trait carriers and the sampling was random) of participants whom the medical history were taken from and semi- structured interview were recorded. The interview consisted of some areas of interest and MKN-10 (ICD-10) dependency criteria questions. Results: The degree of fulfillment of the dependency criteria for the online questionnaire...

Mladá, Kateřina ; Kalina, Kamil (advisor) ; Reichelová, Lenka (referee)
The bachelor thesis has these targets: (1) to demonstrate that the misuse of Suboxone also occurs in the Czech Republic; (2) to question the common myth that Suboxone cannot be applied in an i.v. form, and (3) to disclose some circumstances of Suboxone misuse ( e.g. if the i.v. application of Suboxone has any aversive effect; if the clients are able to prevent this kind of effect; to what change in the client's life the Suboxone use or misuse can lead , the availability of Suboxone in the black market, demand of this substance in the black market, etc.). The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical parts, and subsequent discussion and conclusion. The theoretic part presents essentials on substitution programmes, information on the substitution substance Suboxone, and the introduction of the treatment centre where I collected data for my thesis (specialized out-patient programme CADAS). References to the recent research studies on this topic are also mentioned. The practical part includes two case studies of the clients who both misuse Suboxone in an i.v. form, and subsequent comparison of those case studies based on the set criteria. Through the case studies and the comparison of them the determined research questions should have been answered. The discussion and the conclusion are oriented...

Co-morbidity of eating disorders and alcohol use among women is topical, because eating disorders can be seen as a disease of modern women and alcohol use as a very frequent and tolerated by society. Unfortunately, interest in this issue is not large in Czech Republic and literature comprehensively addressing this subject is not available. This work defines the basic terms important in the field of eating disorders, alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence and co- morbidity of these two disorders. The results of a questionnaire study findings in the Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice, Prague, Czech republic, helped me in getting answers to research questions. The object of these research questions are prevalence of alcohol use in women with eating disorders in the Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice and the existence of a predisposition to alcohol use in women with various eating disorders. Result of the study is the finding that alcohol use in women with eating disorders in Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice is frequent and the prevalence is much higher than in the general population. Bulimia nervosa has proved to be an eating disorder with a predisposition to more frequent alcohol use than those with other eating disorders. I believe that...
