The analysis of the development of costs and the structure of Public Administration in the Czech Republic between years 1993 and 2013
Voříšková, Kristýna ; Chmelová, Pavla (advisor) ; Prudká, Šárka (referee)
The thesis thematizes the development of costs and the structure of Public Administration in the Czech Republic. Particular attention is paid to the State Administration between years 1993 and 2013. As suggested in the theoretical part, many authors admit that a certain administrative apparatus is necessary for state's smooth functioning. Therefore, the thesis presupposes an increase of Public Administration, as far as number of its employees as well as their wages and other costs are concerned. This assumption was, however, confirmed only partially, because the large number of clerks within the observed period was, according to data provided by the Final Paycheck and by the Czech Statistical Office, declining, whereas their wage fund as well as avarage wages were increasing. Another important point was the comparison of State and Public Administration, whose development of costs displays numerous differences and which was affected by the economic crisis only to a limited extent.

Lišoková, Nikol ; Klepek, Cyril (advisor) ; Prudká, Šárka (referee)
The paper focuses on the labour market of older people in the Czech Republic between 2007 and 2014. Population aging is becoming a trend in almost all European countries, while there is a gradual increase in the age for retirement, therefore it is important to improve the employment of older people. The theoretical part of the thesis presents information about the labour market of older people followed by the tools suitable for reducing unemployment. In the empirical part, the emphasis was to determine the effectiveness of ESF projects aiming to reduce unemployment of older people. Based on the analysis of primary data and on the questionnaire survey, 77% of people employed in subsidized jobs lost their job after the subsidy period. For this reason, projects are evaluated as inefficient.

Veselý, Vladislav ; Kolman, Ondřej (advisor) ; Prudká, Šárka (referee)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of unemployment in the region of Jablonec nad Nisou during years 2008--2014. It is focused on determinants of unemployment, labour office cooperation with employers and the efficiency of the active employment policy. It describes the educational structure, age distribution, proportion of unemployed women and duration records of unemployed job seekers in the labour market. It also focuses on describing the development of the level of registered unemployment, its cause and effect. Registered unemployment rate in the Jablonec nad Nisou region has always been floating at better values than the average values of the Czech Republic, but in years of 2009 and 2010 due to the economic crisis, rapid increase of registered unemployment was noticed. I conclude based on the analysis that the most prone micro region to high rates of unemployment is Tanvald and the most prone group of citizens to unemployment are the long--term unemployed people. I also came to conclusion that the Labour office in Jablonec nad Nisou has a positive influence on the labour market in that region. The final recommendations of this thesis is to focus on the Tanvald micro region and the most prone groups of citizens to unemployment in a more proper way.
