Possible Materials for Crash-Test Dummy Construction

This diploma thesis is devoted to the possibility of using materials for crash test dummy construction. The thesis describes how crash test dummies evolved, what crash test dummies are currently available for crash test and what they are made of. The main aim of the diploma thesis is to design materials and process for production of a crash test dummy with human-like biofidelity. The thesis describes the way which the dummy will be manufactured using duralumin, rubber, alder wood and silicone polymer or agar.

Selected matters covered by statutory provisions on shareholders protection as set out in the commercial code

This dissertation looks at selected matters covered by the statutory provisions on the shareholders protection as set out in the Commercial Code. It focuses mainly on the matters contained in Section 196a of the Commercial Code, Section 193 (2) of the Commercial Code, and on the issue of financial assistance. In addition, this dissertation deals with the legal protection of shareholders under the Business Corporations Act which is to take effect on 1 January 2014, and provides a brief outline of how these matters are regulated under certain foreign laws. As well, it provides a comparison with the legal regulations of the European Union. This dissertation is comprised of three sections, each having several parts. The parts are further divided into articles. Section 1 analyses the statutory provisions on the protection of shareholders as given in the Commercial Code, and is divided into four parts. The introduction, given in Part I, focuses on the protection of shareholders under the Commercial Code in the general sense. The remaining three parts concentrate on the above said selected statutory provisions. Use of indirect calorimetry in nutritional therapy

Introduction: Indirect calorimetry (IC) is a very accurate and non-invasive method which is used in clinical practice to measure the resting metabolic rate. This method is based on the assumption that oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide production and nitrogen metabolite waste are in definite relation to energy consumption. Based on the measurement of resting metabolic rate, a nutritional therapist can individually determine daily energy intake of a respective individual, the optimal amount of specific nutrients and thus prevents excessive or inadequate intake of energy and nutrients. Objective: The main aim of this thesis is to compare for group of overweight patients the results of the measurement of the resting metabolic rate (RMR), values of the resting metabolic rate calculated according to the Harris-Benedict (HB) equation and the actual energy intake calculated from the diet report obtained from the patients. In addition, the body composition of the examined group with a focus on the amount of muscle tissue is also marginally evaluated. Methods: The research sample includes in total 50 persons-36 women and 14 men. These persons are patients of the General Faculty Hospital in Prague. Vliv půdních podmínek na dynamiku růstu a tvorbu výnosu u vybraných odrůd pšenice seté

The presented work provides the results of experiments with winter wheat during the growing season 2016/2017, which were established at the field research station of Mendel University in Žabčice. Eight winter wheat varieties were grown on two sites with different water regimes in the soil (optimal conditions - Obora/water-limited conditions - Písky). The varieties were evaluated for the number of spikes per area, thousand seed weight and grain number per spike. Then the grain yield per hectare and harvest index (which was calculated as the ratio of biomass and grain) were evaluated. In the water-limited conditions, there was a decrease in all monitored characters. The site had the largest influence on the number of spikes per area where the average number of spikes per area under water-limited conditions fell by 23 %. The second most affected was thousand seed weight which was decreased by 19 %, and the least affected character was grain number per spike, which was changed by 11 %. The harvest index was lower on water-limited field. The weight of biomass was reduced by 24 – 34 % and weight of grain was reduced by 50 % for evaluated varieties. The average yield at the site with optimal conditions was 10,4 t per ha and at water-limited conditions site it was 6,1 t per ha. According to the results of this harvest year 2017 varieties Patras, Gordian and Cimrmanova raná were found as suitable for worse conditions. On the other hand varieties Tobak and Hyfi seem to be unsuitable for stressful conditions.

Vyhodnocení reprodukčních ukazatelů u dojnic holštýnského plemene

In this Master´s thesis with name Evaluation of reproductive performance in dairy cows of the Holstein breed was an analysis of the reproductive indicators in heifers and cows of Holstein breed on the farm in the Vysočina. In the thesis was evaluated in cows and heifers level first inseminations, all inseminations, number of reinseminations, pregnancy after the first insemination, pregnancy after all inseminations and index pregnancy. Furthermore, cows were evaluated reproduction indicators: interval, service period (SP), calving indterval, insemination index and the number of insemination doses. In 2014, it was in dairy cows in the barn 1 average monthly done 26,58 first insemination, 57,50 all inseminations, 6,75 reinseminations and index pregnancy was 1,96. The barn 2 this year was average monthly done 26,33 first insemination, 59,75 all inseminations, 16,33 reinseminations and index pregnancy was 2,09. In 2015, it was in dairy cows in the barn 1 average monthly done 23,33 first insemination, 56,58 all inseminations, 8,83 reinseminations and index pregnancy was 2,15. The barn 2 this year was average monthly done 22,25 first insemination, 57,25 all inseminations, 16,25 reinseminations and index preganancy was 2,28. In dairy cows pregnancy after the first insemination after all inseminations were both barns in 2014 and 2015 below 40 %, and the both barns average in 2014 38,94 % and in 2015 37,53 %. In 2014, in heifers was average monthly done 16,17 first insemination, 32,58 all inseminations, 1,58 reinseminations and index pregnancy was 2,01. In 2015, in heifers was average monthly done 23,25 first insemination, 46,42 všech inseminations, 2,75 reinseminations and index pregnancy was 1,93. In 2014, pregnancy after first insemination in heifers was average 48,08 % and in 2015 39,92 %. Pregnancy after all inseminations in heifers was average in 2014 47,36 % and in 2015 45,85 %. In 2014, in dairy cows was insemination index 3,61 and number of insemination doses was 5,26 pieces. Interval value in both years on average around 68 days. SP in 2014 was average 109,81 days and in 2015 was average 111,33 days. Calving interval in 2014 was average 405,46 days and in 2015 was average 391,5 days.

Vliv agroekologických podmínek na tvorbu výnosu u vybraných odrůd pšenice ozimé

The bachelor thesis presents the results of experiment with winter wheat, which was established at the field research station of Mendel Univerzity in Žabčice in 2014/2015 growing season. A group of eight varietes was set after two different fore-crops, pea and winter wheat. The varieties were evaluated for the yield per hectare, number of spikes per area, thousand seed weight, grain number per spike and volume weight. The average yield after peas crop was 12.07 t per ha and after wheat 10.81 t per ha. The highest yielding variety after fore-crops peas was Gordian (12.77 t per ha) and after wheat it was Elan (11.87 t per ha). There were determined varieties sensitive to fore-crop: Evina, Dagmar, Patras and tolerant varieties: Elan, Rumor.

The effect of nutritional counselling on anorexia nervosa, its origin and treatment

The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to obtain a complex view of nutritional counselling and to prove or disprove influence of nutritionist's care on triggering and developing anorexia nervosa. The theoretical part describes the conditions for practising nutritional counselling and differences between dietitians and nutritionists. Also, this part focuses on factors that can trigger anorexia nervosa, its types, and prevention. The research was conducted by evaluating interviews with three clients of Anabell counselling centre and three clients of a nutritionist. The results show that the trust in the nutritionists is high and the clients precisely follow their recommendations which can affect their health. Inspection of the medical history of the nutritionist's clients was executed in neither of the cases. The medical history contains the important part of psychosocial issues and it was neglected. All of the three respondents confirmed that they did not know the difference between dietitian and nutritionist. The results provide an insight into the incompetent care of the nutritionists. They show that it is essential to spread knowledge on the possibility to use services of dietitians in the nutrition field. Creation process of strategic plan in non-profit organization

This diploma thesis deals with the description and reflection of the strategic planning process in a non-profit organization. From the theoretical foundation, presented in the first part of this thesis, the author creates a model of the methods by introducing the strategic approach into the praxis of management in the chosen non-profit organization. In the practical part of this thesis she describes and reflects the process of participative establishment of the strategic plan for one of the services of this organization. In the conclusion of the thesis she deduces from the practical findings some recommendations.
