Religious situation in Polná between 1880 and 1920 The purpose of this diploma thesis, under the leadership of PhDr. Tomáš Petráček, Ph.D., Th.D. of 163 774 signs, is to analyse the circumstances in the Roman Catholic parish in Polná as well as in Jewish community in this town, relationship of these two religious groups in the period specified above included. It tries to put all documents down concisely about the harmonious coexistence between these two religious groups, the change in the social life among Christians and Jews which happened after the assassination of Anežka Hrůzová in 1899. It also tries to put other reasons down because of which this relationship made worse. The main sources of this diploma thesis are Polná's Chronicles. The most important of them is "Pamětní kniha děkanství polenské od roku 1836." Then "Kniha památny města Polny, díl druhý" and "Pamětní kniha města Polné 1914 - 1934." The diploma thesis is divided into 5 chapters. The first one introduces the history of Polná to us. It tries to describe the town from the historical point of view at the turn of the 19th and the 20th century. The relationship between the Catholic church and the National socialism in Germany on the eve of World War II The diploma work focuses on the events in the German Empire in the period from Adolf Hitler's takeover of power in 1933 until the outbreak of world war II. The aim of my work is to depict the relationship between the Catholic church and the National socialist government in Germany. The work brings out the key moments of the national socialist program and the substantial statements of its representatives which refer to religion and the Church. And at the same time very severe condemnation of the Church. After takeover of power in 1933 the National socialists made the Imperial concordat. In the years that followed the Concordat was systematically being broken, the Church pursued and its activities consistently destroyed. The work outlines the gradual liquidation of the political Catholicism, the Centre and Bavarian folk parties, liquidation of the professional and youth associations and the Hitlerjugend step-up. It follows the effort to discredit the Church with preachy means which were pursued against it. Legalisation of intentional abortation in Czechoslovakia in the year 1957

The thesis The legalization of intentional abortion in Czechoslovakia i the year 1957 describes this topic in light of history- based on accessible historical documents- within the context of contemporary disputes and the creation of this law. In the preamble are given the discursions to theological ethics and church law, which should have sat this thesis in context of catholic theology. The thesis reflects also the progress and attepmts at full legalization of abortions soon after the Czechoslovakia was brought into being. The abortion act was enacted in the end of the year 1957. This fact is compared within the international situation. In addition more carefully is described the progress of the abortion act in USSR and several states of the Eastern bloc. The thesis also etchs in the activities of so-called "Prolicidal boards", which were settled down by the czechoslovakia government. These boards brought along that in the year of 1957 were abortions permitted only with partial restrictions. Resumé SVATOŃOVÁ, Lada. Historie farnosti České Meziříčí - vybrané kapitoly Praha : Katolická Teologická fakulta Univerzity Karlovy v Praze, 2010. Diplomová práce. Tato práce obsahuje vybrané události z historie farnosti České Meziříčí od prvních písemných zmínek do současnosti. Pozornost je věnována husitským válkám, emigraci evangelíků, slezkým válkám, rekatolizaci, spory o zádušní pozemky, náboženská nesnášenlivost, první světové válce, dění v Československé republice, pozemkové reformě, komunistickému útlaku, výpovědi součastníků a dění po sametové revoluci. Na základě shromážděných faktů je možno říci, že celonárodní dění se odráželo i v této farnosti. The Cult of Saint Zdislava of Lemberk

Resumé Kult svaté Zdislavy z Lemberka Renata Černá V předložené diplomové práci jsem se zaměřila na vznik a vývoj neoficiálně uctívaného kultu Zdislavy z Lemberka a pokusila jsem se jej prezentovat novým ucelenějším historicko-literárním způsobem, na rozdíl od dosud publikovaných prací, které většinou bývají volnou zdislavskou biografií s nepřesným dodatkem o prokazování úcty. Přínos pojednání tedy nespočívá v použití dosud neobjevených pramenů, neboť ty, pokud se vyloženě týkaly osobnosti Zdislavy z Lemberka, kompletně shromáždili církevní historikové při opatřování důkazů k beatifikačnímu a kanonizačnímu procesu. Nový přínos je zde hlavně v celkovém propojení Zdislavy jako historické osobnosti se Zdislavou již je prokazována po staletí úcta, a to celé je zasazené do širšího dějinného prostředí, vymezeného hranicemi panství Jablonné a panství Lemberk. Časově sledované období bylo ohraničeno 20. léty 13. století, kdy se Zdislava narodila, na jedné straně a koncem působení dominikánů v Jablonném v roce 1788 na straně druhé. Zdislava z Lemberka byla také převážně uctívána ve zcela konkrétním prostředí relativně nevelké lokality, okruhu řádu dominikánů a šlechtického rodu Berků z Dubé. The Catolic church and the religion in region of Mladá Boleslav in the second half of 17th and the first third of 18th century. Selected issues of church administration history and recatholization

This thesis follows up the relationship among church administration level, recatholization and gradual penetration of the baroque religion into the common life in the region of Mlada Boleslav in the second half of 17th and the first third of 18th century. This ratio is followed up on the basis of selected issues that are for these topics determining. In the first sections is described the gradual improving of the three vicariates' parish administration of the region from the point of view of parishes number rising and the improvement of the pastors' work conditions connected with it. The basic indicators are: number of parishes, their disprict (number of churches belonging to parishes, number of villages, distances) as well as the number of inhabitants. The developement and the way of economic assurance of parishes and their facilities (equipment and incomes of churches) are outlined here as well. This summary is completed by the characteristics of basic relationships in everyday life of parish related to these issues.
