Vliv stresu na pracovní výkon zaměstnanců

Pernicová, N. The influence of stress on the work performance of employees: Men-del University in Brno, 2023. The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of stress on the work performan-ce of employees in two selected companies in different departments. The primary focus is on sales representatives (sales), followed by logistics and project ma-nagers. The results of the ji-ne departments and the logistics and project ma-nagement department are primarily used for comparison with the sales depart-ment to see the individual differences. Secondary data are presented to get a gene-ral idea of stress in the workplace. A questionnaire survey was used to investigate stress on the job performance of employees in the selected companies. In the practical part, the research in the form of questionnaire survey is applied in two companies namely GPD a.s. and Bosch Rexroth company s.r.o. The departments are investigated, which are divided into logistics, sales and other departments in GPD a.s. and other departments in Bosch Rexroth company s.r.o., which are divided into other departments, logistics, sales and project management departments. The questionnaire survey analyses the relationship between stress load and work per-formance in the individual companies in each department and then compares the companies with each other. According to the results of the questionnaire survey, recommendations are proposed for sales representatives and certain departments of the selected firms to minimize the stress factors in the selected firms. The re-commendations can subsequently lead to higher performance of the selected firms and higher sales. The recommendations are based on the results of the survey for example, introducing courses and training to help separate work life from co-private life can help to arrange "time management" so that employees can schedu-le their work duties well. Other recommendations are better communication between departments in the form of providing clearer and more precise informa-tion to each other, inter-departmental meetings where possible ambiguities can be clarified or merging events for better workplace relations between depart-ments, such as 'team building' and others.
Short-term application of elevated temperature and drought influences the isotopic composition of winter wheat grains

The study aimed to determine the differences in carbon (δ13C) and nitrogen (δ15N) stable isotope ratios in grains of three winter wheat varieties grown under optimal and stress conditions. We found that the wheat variety has a significant effect on both δ13C and δ15N isotope ratios. Short-term (nine days) exposure to drought and high temperature during the heading or stem extension development phase significantly enhanced δ13C values, but only high temperature affected δ15N values. Enhanced δ15N values support the assumption that global warming causes a higher representation of the 15N isotope in plants. Moreover, significant interactive effects of temperature and water availability on the values of both isotopes were found implying that C and N metabolisms have been altered under the investigated stress conditions. We conclude that δ13C and δ15N isotope ratios of cereal grains are sensitive indicators of stress conditions, even short-term ones

Plants release a wide spectrum of biogenic volatile organic compounds into the envi-ronment. These compounds attract pollinators and can protect plants against pests and/or biotic and abiotic stresses. I have investigated the impact of different UV radiation in-tensities and elevated atmospheric CO2 concentrations on the content of terpenoids in the leaves of European beech during the vegetation season. The trees were growing un-der the elevated (EC; 700 ppm) and ambient CO2 concentration (AC; 400 ppm) and at three UV radiation intensities - ambient (UVamb), enhanced (150 %; UV+), and excluded (UV–). The results show that AC trees had higher content of monoterpenes than EC trees during the whole vegetation season. Limonene and 2-bornene were found to be the most abundant monoterpenes located in the beech leaves. The highest content of 2-bornene was found in AC plants cultivated under UV– radiation. The contents of α-pinene gradually decreased during the vegetation season, while the content of limonene was increasing.Formula clause:

The main objective of this experiment was to investigate the combined effect of different UV treatments\nand elevated CO2 concentration on monoterpene and methyl salicylate (MES) content in leaves of\nEuropean beech during the growing season. Plants were grown under ambient (AC, 400 μmol mol–1) and\nelevated (EC, 700 μmol mol–1) CO2 concentrations and three UV radiation treatments (ambient – UVamb,\nexcluded – UV-, and enhanced – UV+). Leaves collected from July to September were extracted in cold\nheptane to determine volatile organic compounds content using gas chromatography. Our results show\nthat AC plants had higher total content of extractable monoterpenes and MES than did EC plants over\nthe whole growing season and irrespective of UV treatment. Limonene, 2-bornene, and ester MES were\nthe most abundant volatile compounds in beech leaves. The highest contents of 2-bornene and MES were\nfound under the UV- treatment and AC. Contents of α-pinene, β-pinene, and carene decreased during the\ngrowing season while the content of limonene increased.
