Information and communication technologies are important part of life today's school. These new technologies have in contradistinction to older technologies possibility to change key processes at school and therefore is important to understand them. It depends on school equipment with ICT, their modernizing and purchasing new technologies. The main goal of this thesis is to create educational software for teaching microbiology that shall contribute to the active way of acquiring knowledge concerning microorganisms.

Poisonous plants and their use in instruction in an interdisciplinary context

The dissertation's topic is poisonous plants and their use in instruction in an interdisciplinary context. This work provides information about plant psychotropic substances and their effects on human body. The dissertation seeks to highlight the importance of this topic in education and suggest its implementation in practice. The theoretical part is divided into chapters. The first chapter profiles current textbooks for elementary and high schools. It discusses poisonous plants, their substances, and, in some cases, warnings regarding their hazardousness. On these themes are localized also research of curriculum documents for elementary education and curriculum documents for high school. Chapter two contains more detailed information about poisonous plants that are most often mentioned in elementary and high school textbooks. The third chapter is about psychoactive plants, their possible use and misuse, and drug prevention in schools. This chapter resulted from the lack of information about first aid in textbooks. The practical part contains a questionnaire that assesses students' awareness of poisonous plants and drugs. The dissertation also contains suggestions for activities with poisonous plants in instruction.

The sewerage water in biology education at secondary school

The contents of this diploma work compose of cleaning sewerage water and adding an excursion in education according to The General education Programs for Grammar School (RVP-G). Two working hypothesis where tested: 1) The students, which pass an excursion in sewage plant and work job sheets up, keep in mind the information about cleaning sewerage water better. 2) The students, which can view only a PowerPoint presentation without any other active working on presented information, keep in mind this information worth. First, the list of sewage plants within borders of the Capital city Prague was created. These plants can be visited by students of second schools. The next step was the creation of education materials (a PowerPoint presentation, the First information for students before an excursion started, the Job sheets). Information about the PowerPoint presentation was added for lectors need. There where 134 students of second level of grammar school in Prague in the investigation. Given hypotheses where tested via control test for students. This test shows which the students, which view the PowerPoint presentation and can fill the job sheets in classes, keep in mind the piece of knowledge about the sewage plants questions in better way. In the following pages we can find a comprehensive material for the education of medicinal plants and their usage in practical life. The text could be useful for teachers of primary and secondary schools. However its usage is not only for classwork, it might be applied in practical life as well. It also serves as an informative text of the theme mentioned. This work is primarily focused on Karlovy Vary region. The text is aimed at the most fundamental terms and notions of folk healing. Then it concetrates on the use of medical plants not only for tea therapy, but also for another processing. In this work you will learn basic information about the cultivation of medical plants and how are they herborized. You will also get acquainted with basic plant races which are growing almost everywhere. Medical plants are also used in liqueur industry. The bestknown brand is Becherovka. This herbal liqueur, which has two hundred-year tradition, is full of mystery. The basic teaching method in this work is a project. The aim of this bachelor work "Vegetable alkaloids, their usage and abuse during the history of humanity" is to demonstrate the basic toxicological and pharmacological thesis to readers, furthermore the history of usage and especially abuse all the vegetables that contain alkaloids. One of the important parts illustrates the selected representative toxic plants that occur and can be found in our lands, in addition their usage from the antique periods till today. Cannabis sativa - the Plant Used and Abused

Cannabis sativa - the plant which is discussed in all social communities. Some of them hold a brief for it and the others curse it. This is the main reason why I wrote my bachelor work Cannabis sativa - the Plant Used and Abused particulary about this plant. The work informs the readers about the taxonomy and anatomical structure of this plant, we mentioned the history of growing the hemp, and the use and abuse of the plant is summed up according to various authors. Finally, a research at a secondary school of the knowledge of students and their teachers about Cannabis sativa was carried out. The results showed common minor knowledge of the plant itself, and the studens, as well as their teachers, proved wider information of the drug form of this plant. The older studets are better informed than the younger ones, in the case of their teachers this goes conversely and boys have better information than girls. This work should be a useful summary of both positive and negative aspects of Cannabis sativa for all who want to know something more about this plant.
