Modification of heat exchanger for steam generation
Pačíska, Tomáš ; Jegla, Zdeněk (referee) ; Nekvasil, Richard (advisor)
This graduation thesis is concerned with a thermal exchange unit issue whereof one working substance complies with a two-phase mode of a flow. This unit is made for the steam generation. The thesis is supposed to solve operation problems causes of the given unit and to make a proposal of an appropriate solution that is supported by performed calculations. Part of the the work is strength calculation. This work also introduces the thermal-hydraulic processes issue of the steam generation equipment. There are also performed thermal-hydraulic control calculations in consideration of newly set-up operation parameters of the given equipment‘s working substances.
Deskription of vacual manipulation end-effectors of industrial robots
Pačíska, Tomáš ; Blecha, Radim (referee) ; Kolíbal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The work contains a competent recherche, sorting and description of different types of passive and active vacuum end-effectors of industrial robots and their's work principle. This work also defines basic parameters of ejectors and components for providing their functionality.
Operating fouling of process and power equipment
Sénáši, Martin ; Pačíska, Tomáš (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
Bachelor thesis describes the issue of fouling of heat exchangers. This thesis briefly describes the fouling mechanisms and introduces the issue of consideration fouling in the design of heat exchangers. From gained information subsequently on simple calculation examples demonstrate using basic calculation methods impact of fouling on process stream. It also describes the impact of fouling on the technical and economic solutions of heat exchangers.
Risk assessment design margin of process and power equipment
Horsák, Jan ; Pačíska, Tomáš (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work is devoted to description of methodology of determining process and power equipment design margins, which is based on assessment of a relative process importance of the equipment in question. The methodology is theoretically analysed, brought into context of common design practice and demonstrated on actual cases. Substantial part of this work analyses heat transfer in general as a base of heat exchanger design process.
Heat flux calculation during boiling process – application for cooling of combustion chamber
Földváry, István ; Pačíska, Tomáš (referee) ; Vondál, Jiří (advisor)
There is a water-cooled combustion chamber at the Institute of Process and Environmental Engineering, which is used for testing of burners. Effective cooling is a particularly significant problem. It is also necessary to ensure accurate measurement of wall heat flux extracted by the cooling water. Therefore the main aim of the thesis is calculation of the minimum flow rate of cooling media required for safe operation of the combustion chamber. A comprehensive review of the heat transfer mechanisms was performed. Description is provided for the basic characteristics of phase changes with an emphasis on detailed analysis of mechanisms of boiling and evaporation. The presence of boiling at the water-side wall in the inner mantle was verified in the calculation part. Computation of the heat transfer coefficient was done by using the similarity methods. Temperature of the wall was then evaluated. A control on the presence of nucleate boiling was performed and the required minimum flow rate was determined for each section of the chamber.
