Psychosocial issues of nourishment of the elderly

V ANGLICKÉM JAZYCE The diploma thesis deals with psychosocial problems of seniors' alimentation. The theoretical part focuses on the area of health, healthy lifestyle of elderly people, and also on the diseases and physical problems typical for old age. The geriatric syndromes, which occur in old age, as well as psychosocial aspects of the nutrition of seniors, are described there. The fourth chapter presents up-to-date documents that are closely related to alimentation. The nutrition of seniors is a crucial chapter of the whole thesis, because it describes how the alimentation of seniors is carried out in the home environment and how in residential care. The aim of the last chapter in the theoretical part is to present to the reader the "Domov ANNA", where the research survey (which is a part of the thesis) was realized at the beginning of the year 2019. The survey was carried out using a questionnaire method among clients of the above-mentioned "Domov ANNA" and also seniors living at home in Český Brod. The aim of the research was to find out if the elderly in residential care have better (more varied and balanced) diet in comparison with the elderly who live and eat at home and how psychosocial and economic factors influence the quality of their nutrition.
Social adaptation of the persons dependent on narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and poisons

Besides describing a brief history of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and poisons including definitions of selected addictive substances, the thesis focuses on addictive behaviour, medical treatment and social assistance for persons addicted to narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and poison-dependent people. An essential part of these people's treatment is their follow-up adaptation back to normal life, which is often very important. The chapters describe the particular service (medical and social), including examples that help individuals with their problem and also to adapt socially, or adapt to something. In the practical part it is due to the respondents and their life stories clearly shown, what is the way back from the survival of individuals with drug addiction to everyday life.
The Social work and social services in Sakha Republic for disabled childrens and adolescents

In my Bachelor Thesis, I am focusing on the issue of social work, in the territory of the Republic of Sacha (Far Eastern Region of the Russian Federation), with target group - children and adolescents with disabilities. At the beginning, I have put a description of the traditions, for a better understanding of the Yakutian nature, including brief description of the history of the Republic of Sacha. Then I point out, to the history of formation of social work in the territory of the Republic with division - until 1917 and from 1917 until the present. The text includes a description of social services under the laws of the Russian Federation, criteria of health - social assessment service for determining the degree of disability, analysis of Russian and Yakutian legislation on state social support of the target group and their families. I continue to describe the providers of social services, in the territory of the Republic, for the given target group. I point out the possibilities of care and education, for the visually impaired from childhood, to adulthood, this is the topic of visually impaired people, in the Republic of Sacha. Quality of life mentally handycapped persons in context of transformation social services

1 Abstract Thesis name: Persons with mental retardation and their quality of life in context of Social Services transformation. Purpose of this thesis is to describe process, history, progress and risks of transformation of Social Services in Czech Republic. Target of this thesis is not transformation of Social Sevices in Czech Republic generally but it is targeted on Nalžovický zámek organization, Social Services provider where transformation is in progress from 2013. In thesis I investigate how clients using supported housing perceive this service in context of quality of their life. My thesis includes theoretical base focused on mental retardation, social services, institutional care. Purpose of this thesis is not representative research or academic analysis of data. Used information are extract from professional literatury and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs website. Main used method is narative interview. Thesis has six chapters. Results of my research are presented in chapter five and I consider this chapter as most important. Research shows clients of supported housing perceive this service in a very positive way and are satisfied. Feel this opportunity as a new way how to make quality of their life better.

There is a historical excursion into the issue, the legal framework for the provision of these field health and social services, a survey of the scope of providing these services in the Czech Republic and the practical aspects of the terrain performance of the service.
Activating the Elderly with Dementia in Retirement Homes

The presented Bachelor's Thesis deals with the issue of activation of clients with dementia in retirement homes. It searches for the definition of the terms "senior" and "old age", traces the psychologic and physical changes associated with old age, explores the life of seniors in long-stay institutions, sketches out the recent demographic trends in the Czech Republic and adresses the term "ageism". The thesis then turns to the explanation of the term "dementia" along with its most frequent symptoms, types and causes including the commonly used methods of its diagnosis. The thesis includes a chapter dealing with the current social system of care for seniors in the Czech Republic, describing the most frequently used methods of activization with a special accent on clients with dementia, activating therapy and Montessori method. The last chapter of this work consists of author's personal experience with work in two long-stay institutions with three casual studies added as practical examples and illustrations of the issue and comparison of two elderly jouses and its' activation therapies.
