Thesis title: Casuistry of physiotherapy care for a patient diagnosed with peripheral facial palsy Aim of thesis: The main aim of this thesis, as well as of its specialised part, is a detailed casuistry of physiotherapy care of a patient diagnosed with peripheral facial palsy. Firstly, resource materials were collected during my practical training in Regional Hospital Kladno, in time period January 23 - February 17, 2017. Casuistry consists of a clinical examination, short - term and long - term plan of physiotherapy care, therapy sessions' records and evaluation of used methods. Another aim was to elaborate on the topic of peripheral facial palsy in the theoretical part of the thesis. Thesis summary: For my therapies I used the following physiotherapy methods and techniques, in particular the Soft Tissue Mobilization: Postisometric Relaxation by Lewit (PIR) and antigravity method by Zbojan (AGR) to relax hypertonic muscles, Fascial Stretch Therapy and Joint Mobilization by Lewit and PIR with stretching by Janda. Peripheral facial palsy was treated by facial massage, Jebavá's foam ball massage therapy and kinesiotaping. Main part of the therapy consisted of practising the Kenny Method. Moreover, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) by Kabat was applied to strengthen the facial muscles....

Title: Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of Cervicocapital Endoprosthesis of the Shoulder Joint Objectives: The aim of this thesis is an introduction and a summary of theoretical and practical knowledge about the cervicocapital shoulder replacement and a case study of patient with such a diagnosis. Methods: The thesis consists of two parts, the general and the special part. The general part includes knowledge related to the topic cervicocapital endoprosthesis of the shoulder joint, proximal humerus fracture and therapeutic methods of this issue, focusing on physiotherapy. The special part includes the case of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of cervicocapital shoulder replacement, contains complex kinesiological examination, therapy and final evaluation of the effect of therapies. Results: The case study was processed in two weeks in January 2017 in Medicentrum Praha and it has proved the effect of applied physiotherapeutic intervention on a patient with the diagnosis of cervicocapital endoprosthesis of the shoulder joint, especially in the area of the operated shoulder joint. There ocurred an increase of the range of active and passive motions and an improvement in muscle strength, especially in flection and abduction. Keywords:...
Case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with the diagnosis of a postoperative left-sided hemiparesis
Skopalová, Pavla ; Reckziegelová, Petra (advisor) ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (referee)
This bachelor thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part describes basic anatomy of the ventricular system and the blood supply of the brain. Furthermore it deals with theoretical knowledge of cerebral vascular malformations, its types and possible treatment. The main subject of this part defines upper motor neurone syndrome and regarding rehabilitation methods. Theoretical part of the thesis is based on information from professional literature. The practical part follows up a case study of a patient with postoperative left-sided hemiparesis developed after resection of cavernous malformation of right ventricle trigone. This part contains a methodology of the work, input data and kinesiology analysis, short-term and long-term physiotherapeutical plan and then a description of specific therapeutic procedures. In the end there is a comparison with input and output kinesiology analysis data and the evaluation of possible therapeutical effect. All of the data needed for this part of the thesis were gained during a continous practical session at Rehabilitation Centre in Beroun from 18th January to 12th February 2016.
Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after proximal humeral fracture
Richterová, Denisa ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Vaňous, František (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after proximal humeral fracture. Aims: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize theoretical findings about the fracture of proximal part of humerus, to elaborate the patient casuistry and evaluate the effect of the therapy. Methods: In the first part I summarized theoretical basis to the topic of proximal humeral fracture. I mention anatomy and kinesiology of shoulder girdle, etiopathogenesis, diagnostics, classification, treatment and complications of the proximal humeral fracture. I did not focus on operation solutions in details as the doctors had chosen the non-operative treatment for the patient. Finally I describe the physical therapy and physical therapy modalities suitable for this diagnosis. The second part is focused on patient I. K. casuistry suffering from proximal humeral fracture. This special part is based on my bachelor practise in CLPA held in January 2016. It contains the anamnesis and initial musculoskeletal assessment on which bases the proposal and goals of the therapy were settled. Further I present all therapeutic units, final examination and therapy evaluation. Results: During one month therapy the edema and haematoma on the right arm were minimalized, the range of motion in the right shoulder joint increased,...
Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of total hip replacement.
Havlíková, Karolína ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Vosmíková, Simona (referee)
Title of bachelor's thesis: Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of total hip replacement Aims: The aims of the bachelor thesis are to improve theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills connected with the diagnosis of total hip replacement and physiotherapeutic methods used after the implantation of an artificial hip joint. Summary: The thesis is divided into two parts. Particular types of implants and operating approaches are dealt with, as well. A significant part of the thesis deals with the rehabilitation plan for patients with this diagnosis, including preoperative rehabilitation, early rehabilitation after the operation and following rehabilitation. The second, specialisted part, deals with the casuistry of a patient after the implantation of an artificial hip joint, including evaluation of the effects of the therapy by comparing the kinesiological analysis before and after the treatment. Key words: physiotherapy, case study, coxarthritis, hip joint, total hip replacement
