Control of a robotic arm using haptic feedback
Nesládek, Mikuláš ; Rajchl, Matej (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the Falcon haptic controller from company Novint and its interfacing with the UR5e collaborative robot, which are part of the mechatronics laboratory of BUT FSI, using the Matlab environment. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses the use of haptic devices in many industries and also describes the Novint Falcon haptic controller in detail, including the kinematics. The practical part then contains a description of the library, functions and programs created to control the Novint Falcon and also to interface it with the UR5e robot.

Due to its excellent properties such as chemical stability and biocompatibility, diamond is an ideal material for bio sensing application. In particular, nitrogen vacancy (NV) centres in diamond are promising candidates for optical bio-sensing application in nanodiamond particles and single crystal diamond by irradiation (electron, proton, neutron, particles) followed by annealing has been recently developer. Production of NV centres in CVD diamond thin film is important for fabrication of new bio sensor.

Efficient growth of nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) requires nucleation enhancement before chemical vapour deposition step. Nanodiamond (ND) seeding is a commonly used technique that yields high nucleation densities. This technique is well established for conventional planar substrates with low surface roughness. However, many engineering application requires NCD grow on rough and/or non-planar substrates. In this work, we investigate quality of nanodiamond seeding on silicon substrates of high surface roughness (RMS roughness <1 mm). Seeded substrates and deposited diamond films were analysed by atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Raman spectroscopy. We discuss influence of nanodiamond particles in seeding solution and seeding technique on nucleation density and quality of deposited NCD film.
Activity analysis and marketing strategy of the Alwyn hotel
Vacková, Barbora ; Chylíková, Hana (advisor) ; Nesládek, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe and assess the activity of a chosen four-star hotel, define its marketing mix and strategy and perform a satisfaction analysis of the customers that should find out if the current strategy of the hotel management is successful. The chosen hotel is a small family hotel named Alwyn situated in Karlín. This thesis focuses on characteristics of the Alwyn hotel, its marketing mix and strategy, development of the basic economic indicators, the competitive analysis and the SWOT analysis. The work also contains a questionnaire concerning the guests' satisfaction with the accommodation and possible suggestions that could lead to a greater satisfaction of both guests and management of the hotel.
Fluorescent nanodiamonds: The new platform for construction of chemo- and biosensors

Over the past few years, fluorescent nanodiamonds (FNDs) have been recognized as potential fluorophores for use in bioimaging, owing to their unique and attractive chemical and particularly spectral properties. The source material for their preparation, synthetic nanodiamond (ND), is non-expensive and commercially available. Notably, NDs have the highest biocompatibility of all carbon nanomaterials and their surface can be chemically modified by various techniques. FNDs are capable of fluorescing with almost quantitative quantum yields from point defects of crystall lattice - nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers. In particular, the long-wavelength emission, high brightness, no photobleaching, no photoblinking, and an exceptional resistance to chemical degradation make them almost ideal core for development of fluorescent bioimaging probes.
