Vibration And Impact Measurement For Collision Analysis
Musil, Tomáš ; Andruška, Martin
The aim of this work is to analyze a suitable method of High-Velocity Impact detection with space debris for CubeSats. In order to detect and analyze collisions of space debris with nanosatellites, it was necessary to run a series of experimental measurements to verify what types of sensors would be suitable for HVI collisions detection. This article presents some of the sensors examined by experimental testing, its properties, suitability. The article also shows how the testing was performed.
Flying atmospheric carrier for rocket launches
Musil, Tomáš ; Mašek, Jakub (referee) ; Daněk, Vladimír (advisor)
The main objective of this thesis is to introduce the reader to the problematics of air-launch and to a custom design solution applying this concept. The specifics of this method of bringing a payload into orbit are described and explained. Overview of projects which use aircraft to launch spacecraft is included. Determination of primary parameters of a launch vehicle designed to carry a payload of a specified mass is conducted. The required flight performance has been estimated, a computational model has been developed in software MATLAB, and a multidisciplinary optimization of the design parameters has been performed using a genetic algorithm optimization method. Parameters of the designed air-launched rocket are compared with those of a ground-launched rocket. According to the specific criteria, the Airbus A310-300 aircraft was selected as the most suitable transport aircraft to be used for launching the designed launch vehicle. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the proposal of necessary modifications and estimation of the flight performance.
Analýza mechanického chování konstrukčního masivního a lepeného hranolu z bukového dřeva
Musil, Tomáš
The aim of the work was to describe the influence of humidity and behaviour of solid and laminated squared timber including also the type of glue on mechanical behaviour of wooden beams. On production of beams sized 100 × 100 × 1 000 mm3 was used beech wood (Fagus sylvastica L). One half of beams was under water for about 30 days, the other half was left without soacking. The mechanical behaviour of beams, strained by 4-pointed symetrical bending, was analyzied by using relations between tensions and deformations, from which were gained the characteristics of strenght and elasticity wich are modulus of elasticity, modulus of rupture the bend on specific level of strain. Advanced analysis of deformation field was accomplished by the method of digital imagine correlation. The statistic tests for deflection and neural axis not prove statisticly significant results. only with wet beams were statisticaly significant results despite others, in case of statistic tests for modulus of elasticity and modulus of rupture. At coprasion modulus of elasticity from optics and testing machine were statisticaly significant results only group Laminated beams dry red and solid beams wet.
Návrh objektu sociálního rehabilitačního centra
Musil, Tomáš
The thesis deals with the design of a wooden building for social care, which can serve for the purposes of social rehabilitation center. The introduction is devoted to the conditions and requirements of operations for rehabilitation of people with disabilities. In the practical part of the thesis there are three variants of the spatial solution of the social rehabilitation center, which differ mainly in the layout of the layout, the ground shape of the building and the type of roof structure. From these alternatives the most suitable solution is chosen according to the set criteria and it is subsequently processed into the drawing documentation. An integral part of the thesis are also calculations of the heat transfer coefficient by the envelope of the building structure, an approximate estimate of the gross building price and an orientation assessment of the fire safety of the building for the given variant.
Smoothness of Functions Learned by Neural Networks
Volhejn, Václav ; Musil, Tomáš (advisor) ; Straka, Milan (referee)
Modern neural networks can easily fit their training set perfectly. Surprisingly, they generalize well despite being "overfit" in this way, defying the bias-variance trade-off. A prevalent explanation is that stochastic gradient descent has an implicit bias which leads it to learn functions that are simple, and these simple functions generalize well. However, the specifics of this implicit bias are not well understood. In this work, we explore the hypothesis that SGD is implicitly biased towards learning functions that are smooth. We propose several measures to formalize the intuitive notion of smoothness, and conduct experiments to determine whether these measures are implicitly being optimized for. We exclude the possibility that smoothness measures based on first derivatives (the gradient) are being implicitly optimized for. Measures based on second derivatives (the Hessian), on the other hand, show promising results. 1
Hardware for car telemetric data collection
Musil, Tomáš ; Burian, František (referee) ; Ligocki, Adam (advisor)
The aim of the work is to design and implement a unit for collecting telemetry data from a Škoda Felicia passenger car. The work first deals with a search of available single-chip microcontrollers available on the market. Then by designing the hardware with the selected microcontroller and also creating a protocol for transferring data from that hardware to an external information unit. Before the actual implementation of the hardware, the work deals with the creation of an artificial data source for testing the proposed protocol. The last point is the implementation of hardware and subsequent implementation of software providing data collection. This is made possible partly by external sensors and also by the implemented communication with the car unit via the communication protocol KW-1281.
Computer interface for intelligent light control via DMX-512
Fučík, Stanislav ; Hrubý, Lukáš (referee) ; Musil, Tomáš (advisor)
Thisbachelor’sthesisdealswithacreationofagraphicalinterfaceforthecontroloflight devices using DMX512 protocol. The graphical interface is implemented as a web application (frontend), that communicates through API with a console application (a backend). The backend realizes direct communication with lighting devices.
Beehive Scale
Žilka, Martin ; Musil, Tomáš (referee) ; Novák, Lukáš (advisor)
The focus of this bachelor‘s thesis is to retrieve available information about possibilities of solution design of a beehive scale, which should be used in the countryside and has the option of remote data sending. The next step is to build a prototype of that scale. The introductory part contains a parameter description of eight types of commercial beehive scales. The next part is focused on principles, positives and negatives of some commercial weight sensors. The following section deals with communication interfaces used in the IoT. In conclusion is made a selection of the most appropriate technologies for remote weighing beehives, based on the previous research. The last part is devoted to the description of prototype construction.
