Alcohol use among women in their middle age: series of case studies

Background: The case study is focusing on women who have completed alcohol dependence treatment in their middle age. The research studies the reasons for getting addicted, which are based on true facts. The research as well as practice shows that middle age is highly risky to develop addiction. The topic is insufficiently discussed yet actual. Targets: The object of this work is to describe and understand the issue of alcohol dependence in women in their middle age whit higher socioeconomic status. . This issue is described in the case studies of three respondents who meet the selected criteria. Methods: The practical part of the final work consists of case studies based on moderated interviews. These were created from the anamnestic sheet, from questions focused on the researched issues and from supplementary questions. The data were processed by a narrative method. Results: The stories of our respondents are different but factors that lead them find a solution in alcohol are similar. They describe emptiness, loneliness, sadness, change of appearance, health issues related to higher age and also pressure at work. The alcohol made them feel better but also it caused they remained addicted. The pattern of using alcohol is for each respondent different. Expected change did not happen, on the contrary...
Problems of alcohol use among women in their middle age with higher socio-economic status as a means of life change: series of case studies

Background: The case study is focusing on women which have completed alcohol dependence treatment in their middle age. Look into the causes of addiction which are based on facts. This topic is insufficiently discussed but still actual. Targets: The object of this work is to describe and understand the issue of alcohol dependence in women in their middle age. This issue is described in the case studies of three respondents who meet the selection criteria. Methods: The practical part of the final work consists of case studies created on the basis of moderated interviews. These were created from the anamnestic sheet, from questions focused on the researched issues and from supplementary questions. The data were processed by a narrative method. Results: The results show that middle age and related events are risky for the development of addiction. However, this doesn't mean that alcohol is a means of life change. Rather, we can talk about self-medication. Conclusions: The conclusion of this work can be considered that the awareness of the risk of addiction, rick factors, stressful situations and the possibility of professional help for middle- aged women is very low. These results could be the basis for the development of education and the introduction of screening programs, especially for this group...
The Importance of School for Regional and Local Identity Formation - case study the Tábor Region

The educational reform, current changes in society and closer cooperation with municipalities as the usual founders of schools allow schools to focuse on less common and specific themas and work with them in a new way. In these days, the school itself is not only a place of education, it is a very important element of cultural and social life of every municipality as well. Based on these changes, the possibility of schools and individual teachers to form territorial identity of pupils and local residents comes to the fore. That is why the aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse teachers' attitudes to teaching about the territorial identity and its forming "outside" the school. For our research three small schools with composite classes in the Tábor region are chosen. Subsequently we analyse their school education programmes in the cotext of territorial identity, by the in-depth interview with teachers we analyse the intended currirulum and by the observing of appropriate lesson we analyse thematically focused realised curriculum.
