Characteristics and age of the trees with exceptional epiphytic lichens in forest stands in traditionally inhabited landscape: case study in Nature reservation Týřov
Minářová, Ludmila ; Hofmeister, Jan (advisor) ; Halda, Josef (referee)
In order to conserve the species richness of epiphytic lichens in Central Europe, it is necessary to understand the environmental conditions that especially rare lichen species with a narrower ecological niche or limited dispersal capacity require. The aim of this thesis was to assess the importance of age of different tree species and related factors such as bark pH and bark coarseness for rare epiphytic lichen species. To include the largest possible range of potentially significant explanatory variables, light conditions and the area of the reserve surrounding the given tree were also examined. Data were collected at the Týřov National Nature Reserve site, which was described in the research of Vondrák et al. (2022) as a unique hotspot of lichen biodiversity, as they found 787 species of lichens and related taxa there. The research sample consisted of 55 trees of five species (Acer platanoides, Carpinus betulus, Fagus sylvatica, Fraxinus excelsior, Quercus petraea) that were inventoried in the research by Vondrák et al. (2022) and belonged to moderately to exceptionally rich in rare lichen species. The rarity of lichens was assessed according to the Red List of Lichens of the Czech Republic (Liška & Palice, 2010). Dendrochronological analysis was used to determine the age of the included trees....
The relation between flow experiences and mindfulness
Minářová, Ludmila ; Loneková, Katarína (advisor) ; Šípová, Ivana (referee)
This thesis explores the relationship between flow and mindfulness. The theoretical part of the thesis defines common elements of both concepts and differences between them. The first quantitative research is a correlational analysis that examines strength of the relationship between flow in everyday activities as measured by the Dispositional Flow Scale-2 (DFS-2) and mindfulness as measured by the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) in the Czech adult population (N = 2129). Results showed a moderately strong correlation between flow and mindfulness (r = 0.54). DFS-2 dimensions challenge-skill balance, clear goals, unambiguous feedback, total concentration on the task at hand, and sense of control correlated most strongly with the FFMQ. Dimensions action-awareness merging and transformation of time were weakly negatively correlated with the FFMQ. A new English translation of the DFS 2 was created for the purpose of this study. The second quantitative research is a quasi- experimental study using a three-group pretest-posttest design. Its aim was to measure the effect of mindfulness courses (MBSR, MBCT and MBCT L) on the development of flow and mindfulness. A group of participants in mindfulness courses (N = 13) was compared with participants in guided yoga classes (N = 18) and a passive...
The Specifics of Psychotherapeutic Approaches in the Treatment of Depression
Minářová, Ludmila ; Loneková, Katarína (advisor) ; Najbrtová, Kristina (referee)
The bachelor thesis is focused on specifics of selected psychotherapeutic approaches in the treatment of depression. The first chapter of a literary-overview section defines diagnostics, epidemiology, etiology and risks of depression. The focus of the literary-overview section lies on six chapters dealing with particular psychotherapeutic approaches (cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy and humanistic therapy). For each approach, a way of working with a depressive client is described, as well as its empirically demonstrated effectiveness and evidence-based mechanisms of change. In the end of the literary-overview section there are summarized interfaces and specifics of all approaches in the treatment of depression. The research proposal is focused on mapping the use of ten change principles by Czech psychotherapists of cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic and humanistic approach in the treatment of depression. It is quantitatively oriented mapping research. Its first aim is to assess whether some change principles are used more in the treatment of depression than in case of other difficulties. The second aim is to compare the use of change principles among approaches. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
