Krtička, Jiří ; Rakušanová, Marie (advisor) ; Michálek, Ondřej (referee) ; Nešlehová, Mahulena (referee)
The Printmaking of Czech Art Informel Author: Jiří Krtička Abstract The thesis deals comprehensively with the printmaking of Czech Art Informel: explores its sources, principles and themes, evaluates contributions of individual artists and analyses the technique of "structural printmaking". The first artworks in Informel style in Czechoslovakia were created during World War II by Josef Istler who belongs to European protagonists of Art Informel movement. In post-war years Istler engaged mostly in painting and monotyping. For this reason it was Vladimír Boudník who became the leading personality of Czech Informel printmaking. In 1949 he declared in two manifestos of "explosionalism" his vision of a new art that he followed and carried out with admirable consistency till the end of his life. In the middle of 1950s Boudník started to elaborate "structural printmaking" - innovative printmaking methods that became a way to fulfil his vision. His work influenced strongly the whole generation of Czech artists and essentially helped to introduce Art Informel to Czechoslovakia against the ideologic resistance of the communist regime. Czech Informel achieved excellent qualities in Europe-wide comparison and "structural printmaking" became its original contribution to the world fine art. Keywords Art Informel,...
Theological anthropology in the worlds of J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis and George Lucas
Michálek, Ondřej ; Outrata, Filip (advisor) ; Hošek, Pavel (referee)
In this work I explore the subject of theological motives in the worlds of John Ronald Reuel Tolkien - Middle-earth, Clive Staples Lewis - Narnia and George Lucas - Star Wars. In the world of the Middle-earth, it will be the whole canon, which contains stories from the Middle- earth focusing on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I will use all seven books from the world of Narnia. In George Lucas's world, I'm mainly using the so-called G-canon. If there's a topic that's not covered by this canon, I'll look into the so-called T-canon, or the C-canon. I will compare the different theological questions in the approaches of an author influenced by Anglicism, Catholicism and Methodism with Buddhism. The most important questions for me will be creation, sin, grace, hope, forgiveness and redemption. For each topic, I compare the approaches and compare them to the biblical narrative. The aim of the work is if and howt extent these stories reflect a biblical view of man and of history.

Biblical paraphrasing
Michálek, Ondřej ; Rosa, Rudolf (advisor) ; Barančíková, Petra (referee)
In this bachelor's work, I deal with the paraphrasing of text at the word level, namely the paraphrasing of biblical texts in Czech. Paraphrasing should also include modernising the text to make it easier for the average reader to understand. For this purpose, I have developed a desktop user application in which I use tools to analyze and generate language: Word2vec and MorphoDiTa. In my work, I compare the results of each approach in paraphrasing. The evaluation of the results follows several criteria and compares the effectiveness of the methods used on verses from czech translations: Bible kralická and Český ekumenický překlad.
