Phosphorus in sediments of small rivers
Zborovská, Jarmila ; Hrich, Karel (referee) ; Malá, Jitka (advisor)
This thesis deals with assessment of two small water courses Leskava and Troubsky brook. Streams are evaluated from two aspects: content of three forms of phosphorus TP, Panorg and Porg and hydromorphological assessment. Total phosphorus was determined by sample mineralization by H2SO4+H2O2. Pinorg and Porg were determined by a method published by Pardo. Hydromorphological assessment was done by methodology Králová at al.
Evaluation of domestic wastewater treatment plant operation

Thesis deals with the evaluation of domestic wastewater treatment plant operation. The theoretical part focuses on the types of wastewater, especially sewage, and ways to eliminate pollution from small sources. The practical part contains a description of the reported domestic wastewater treatment plant, methods of sampling and analysis methods to obtain the necessary indicators of pollution. These indicators were used for comparison with the given limits. Then it points to the unsatisfactory operation of the plant and describes the measures taken to solve the problem.
Phosphorus forms in river sediments
Schrimpelová, Kateřina ; Hrich, Karel (referee) ; Malá, Jitka (advisor)
Two main mechanism of immobilization of phosphorus in sediments are formation of insoluble phosphates of Ca, Mg, Fe, Al, and sorption. Phosphorus can be also immobilized as organic phosphorus contained in the biomass. This thesis is focused on searching of relationships between total, organic and inorganic phosphorus and iron, calcium and organic matter content in fluvial sediments. Within the framework of this thesis, samples of sediments have been collected and analyzed. The measured values have been filled by the data measured at the Institute of Chemistry in the years 2011-2012. Total number of samples is 48. Data have been statistically analyzed by Student’s t-test at the = 0,05 and = 0,01 levels of significance. The relationships between total phosphorus and iron and organic matter have been proven. Also the relationship between organic phosphorus and organic matter content has been proven and surprisingly the correlation with iron, too. The inorganic phosphorus indicated significant relationship with iron, but no significant relationship with the calcium content. At last there has been proven the correlation between inorganic phosphorus and the organic matter content.
APPUCATION OF A SHORT-TIME HYDROPONICS FOR SELECTION OF APPROPRIATE DECIDUOUS WOODY PLANTS SPECIES FOR REMEDIATION PURPOSES
Malá, J. ; Cvrčková, H. ; Máchová, P. ; Dostál, J. ; Soudek, Petr ; Šíma, P.
A rapid trial of accumulation capacities for heavy metals Pb, Cd, and Cr of selected fast-growing deciduous woody plant species is presented. The Sorbus aucuparia, Populus tremula x P. tremuloides, Salix x blanda, S. viminalis, S. miyabeana, and S. elbursensiswere clonally micropropagated by induction of organogenesis. Samples of roots and aboveground parts from plantlets grown in aseptic conditions in agar semisolid substrate and hydroponics media supplemented by the heavy metal salts were taken at 2, 4, and 8 days of cultivation. The concentrations and distributions of the accumulated metals were determined using the ICP-OES method and verified by autoradiography. Practically, amounts of accumulated heavy metals increased linearly up to the end of the experiment and were higher in the roots than in aboveground parts in both, the agar cultures and hydroponics. It could be concluded that all tested species displayed a high efficacy of metal uptake and could represent prospective trees for phytoremediation of polluted soils.
Body-art in the trasformation man and woman
MÁLA, Jan
The topic of this work is to detect changes and development of contemporary body-art on the human body throughout life. Tattoos as a category of alternative art direction was inspired to create this work mainly with its inconsistencies, opinions differ on whether it is fully classifiable art. Theoretical work is divided into several parts, there will be a main topic of discussion of the tattoo in the cradle of this direction, which represents from 19 century America to date. The first part outlines the general characteristics of the items specified in the-art tattoo industry. Then move to the functional use of the field. In the third part of this work we try to approximate current distribution tattoo procedure followed by the individual motifs with categorical classification. The next chapter will proceed to the actual creation of the tattoo in the historical context and development of techniques in these parts of America, which will be part of this text primarily directed. In the penultimate section, we will focus on looking at the modern American scene from the environment groundbreaking 18th century. The final section should outline the psychological approaches to this field, not only from a historical perspective but also from the standpoint of contemporary psychology of modern society. The text is accompanied by inspiring the drawing artists, especially important for the practical part of this work, which takes us to the very essence of why the work was prepared, but also what resources corresponding to the tattoo was used. At the very end of the work to proceed on whether we can talk about the tattoo as a full-fledged artistic direction that should be accepted as a correct direction belonging to the arts.

Soudek, Petr ; Petrová, Šárka ; Podlipná, Radka ; Fialová, Zuzana ; Malá, J. ; Benešová, Dagmar ; Kočí, V. ; Kafka, Z. ; Vaněk, Tomáš
Phytoremediation methods are very dynamically booming segment of remediation technologies in present time. These methods used plants and microorganisms for extraction, and in case of organics for degradation, of xenobiotics. Ability of plants involved in these detoxification reactions is depend not only on ability to uptake of xenobiotics and on enzymatic aparatus of tested plant species, but also on toxicity of accumulated contaminant and on toxicity of potential byproducts.
