Mafková, Jana ; Zlatohlávek, Martin (advisor) ; Oulíková, Petra (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the Italian Chapel of the Assumption of Our Lady at Karlova street in Prague's Old Town. The prime focus is on the architecture of this object. The unique building stands thanks to group of Italian artists-craftmens, who were coming to Prague at the end of 16th century. The Italian Chapel is an example of progressive and dynamic manneristic Italian architecture, which has no analoques in the local enviroment. Apart from that, I am also trying to discover the identity of architect, which is not substantiated by the sources until these days and a possible impact on sacral architecture development of the upcoming century.
