Bakalářská práce se zabývá Vlašskou kaplí Nanebevzetí Panny Marie v Karlově ulici na Starém Městě pražském. Především se zaměřuje na architekturu tohoto objektu. Za zbudováním kaple stojí rozrůstající se uskupení italských umělců-řemeslníků, kteří přicházeli do Prahy a kteří zde na sklonku 16. století vytvořili jedinečnou stavbu. Vlašská kaple je příkladem progresivní dynamické manýristické italské architektury, která ve zdejším prostředí nemá obdoby. Mimo jiné se dotýkám i problému identity architekta, která není do dnešních dnů prameny doložena, a otázkou vlivu na vývoj sakrální architektury nadcházejícího století. This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the Italian Chapel of the Assumption of Our Lady at Karlova street in Prague's Old Town. The prime focus is on the architecture of this object. The unique building stands thanks to group of Italian artists-craftmens, who were coming to Prague at the end of 16th century. The Italian Chapel is an example of progressive and dynamic manneristic Italian architecture, which has no analoques in the local enviroment. Apart from that, I am also trying to discover the identity of architect, which is not substantiated by the sources until these days and a possible impact on sacral architecture development of the upcoming century.
