Phraseology in the dictionaries and in corpora. A case studie.

This work deals with the fixed expressions and idioms and their lexicographic description under the influence of the corpus research. The aim of this work is to analyse and to compare the information about the form, meaning and translation into Czech in the dictionaries with the data in the corpora. This has been achieved by using dictionaries and co-occurrence analyses, the results having been evaluated in a qualitative or quantitative way. The research has confirmed the information contained in the dictionaries and there has been discovered other phenomena that concern the analysed aspects. There has finally been stated what additional information should the dictionaries present about each idiom and why.
