Generators for renewable energy
Prokop, Jan ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of generators, which will use alternative sources of energy instead of fossil fuels. The work is focusing on mechanical energy conversion. Introductory part of the text summarizes the requirements on the generator, properties and parameters of appliances, which will be connected to the generator, and finally the selection of suitable alternative fuels. Main part describes the process of a prototype realization. Individual parts of the device have been manufactured from a simplified technical documentation and sketches in the machine shops of the Secondary School of Electrotechnical Engineering on Trnkova street, and from these parts a functional generator prototype has been assembled. This prototype consists of two separate parts: a propulsion unit and an alternator with accessories, including appliances. On this prototype an efficiency measurement has also been carried out. Furthermore, the work includes animations of device functions created in modeling program SolidWorks 2012. Prototypes are based on a known principle of a steam engine and, at the request of the above-mentioned school, have been adapter into a visual teaching aid. The advantage of those prototypes lies in their inexpensive and simple construction, which utilizes commonly available materials. The device works on maintenance-free principle, there is only the necessity of occasional greasing for a fluent running. In conclusion are briefly reviewed the investment and operating costs of the generator.

The thesis deals with the issues of the conversion efficiency of different kinds of energy into electric energy. Firstly, the thesis presents a brief introduction into types of energy sources and their capacity. Then, conversion efficiency of particular direct and indirect conversion is scrutinized, pointing to factors which affect conversion efficiency. The next chapter deals with the possibilities of accumulating electric energy. These are analysed as far as conversion efficiency is concerned as well and the end of the chapter concludes with comparison of these particular possibilities. Booth parts of the process – power generation and its accumulation – are connected in comprehensive scheme of energy conversions. The thesis develops on this scheme by mathematic description of its components and by designing a simulation programme, which would show the flow of energy in the scheme.

Bachelor thesis deals with the theoretical part of the general problem of system wiring. The introductory part includes a general introduction. Gradually are described differences from classical wiring, to compare the advantages, disadvantages and cost. Shortly is described historical development from the first attempts to currently solution used by manufacturers. Subsequently used systems are divided into several groups and described. In the next chapter is performed research most famous electrical system from different manufacturers. In thesis there are described systems iNELS and Ego-n in detail. For each system are described basic functions, linking structure, used bus, the method of programming, a summary of advantages and disadvantages. In addition is made a brief description of system components. The practical part is focused on establishing own consumption of system wiring components in the model family home. Calculations and measurements are performed for three systems - iNELS, Ego-n and KNX. First, there are designed requirements that should meet the installation. Based on the requirements is created list of components of the systems installed - for each installation according to appropriate system.. From technical catalogs are designed theoretical input powers of each installation. The following is a test procedure for measuring educational panels. Results of measurements are processed and compared with catalog data for each component. In addition input powers are calculated from individual installation measured values. Results obtained from the measured and theoretical data are compared. From the each calculated power consumption is determined annual payment for consumption the system wiring. For each measurement system are recorded and reported data transfers through the bus. A complete evaluation of the results is shown in conclusion.
Usage of Busbar as a Source of Heat
Svoboda, Ondřej ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This study is dedicated to the use of heat energy from the busbar and its cooling system. The study deals with thermal analysis of the busbar, both using numerical simulations in SolidWorks and practical examination – warming of the busbar. We can verify the correctness of the simulation from the measured values. To determine the temperature profile of the busbar, it is necessary to measure the temperature at various points of the busbar by contact method using thermocouple or contactless method using a thermal imager. Measurements are performed at the busbar LIA1600 made by Siemens Busbar Trunking System Mohelnice. The aim of the study is to analyze temperature busbar, to suggest the most efficient method of heat recovery, and to make economic calculation
