Thin plasma polymer films on metal substrates
Mach, Pavel ; Salyk, Ota (referee) ; Přikryl, Radek (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on surface treatments, their evaluation from the point of view visual properties, plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition and analysis of thin layers prepared by plasma polymerization. The experimental part of the thesis deals with surface treatment of stainless steel AISI 304. Thin layers of pp-HMDSO (plasma-polymer) and of DLC are deposited on the steel´s surface for the purpose of preparing transparent layer, which protect steel´s surface against of making finger prints visible. As an objective method is chosen an immersion test in artificial sweat solution according to standard ČSN EN ISO 105-E04. Evaluation of the test is measured by a gloss-meter and by a colorimeter. Prepared layers are identificated by FTIR method.

Structura of stainless steels, surface treatment technology, chemical treatment of austenitic steel, treatment in radiofrequency.
Analysis of the Municipal Budget of selected Cities
Mach, Petr ; Votava, Libor (advisor) ; Zhorný, Leoš (referee)
The thesis aims to answer the question whether the budgets of Kamenice nad Lipou and Pelhřimov in the years 2011 - 2015 correspond with objectives and needs of these cities and the differences in the structure of the individual budgets are caused by the different objectives that are determined by municipal policy. The specific goal is to evaluate the financial stability and indebtedness in regard to appointed goals. The analysis, synthesis and subsequent comparison of budgets, final accounts and the available data and informations about cities Kamenice nad Lipou and Pelhřimov in years 2011-2015 was conducted. Based on these methods the hypothesis was confirmed that the municipality budgets of Kamenice nad Lipou and Pelhřimov in years 2011-2015 correspond with the objectives set out in planning documents and with the needs of citizens. In fulfilling these appointed objectives cities not risk hazardous indebtedness and bad economic situation. It was further verified that the structure of the municipal budget Kamenice nad Lipou and Pelhřimov in years 2011-2015 differs in regard to the appointed municipalities objectives.
Elektromagnetické bezdotykové tepelné zpracování nemagnetických kovů a jeho vybrané aplikace
Mach, P. ; Doležel, Ivo ; Barglik, J. ; Karban, P.
The paper presents more detailed information about the technology (overall description, its advantages and drawbacks, possible arrangements the system, typical parameters) shows the basic mathematical models and discusses the possibilities of their numerical solution. The theoretical consid-erations are illustrated on two examples from the industrial practice.
Theory of Optimum currency area and acceptance of Euro in Slovakia
Nguyen Trong Hung, Son ; Mach, Petr (advisor) ; Hudík, Marek (referee)
The object of the work is theory of optimum currency areas. We can consider this theory as the main economic theory for analysis of European Monetary Union. I would like to use criteria of this theory to analyse the fact, if European Monetary Union can be consider as the optimum currency areas. After joining European Union, Slovakia has to accept using common currency. Therefore I would like to applicare criteria of theory of optimum currency areas on matters of Slovakia and summarise if the entry to European monetary union is profitable for Slovakia. In the end I would like to aim for advantages and disadvantages which are connected with the entry for Euro area.
The Evolution of Irish tax system and its influence over the economic growth at the end of 20th century
Vojtíšek, Martin ; Mach, Petr (advisor) ; Bartoň, Petr (referee)
The main aim of this paper is to establish the influence of taxation over the economic growth in the Republic of Ireland at the end of 20th century. I will try to summarize the basic tax theory and empirical studies that deal with question "how can taxation affect economic growth?" I will focus on history of the Republic of Ireland and on evolution of Irish tax system. I will try to make a regressive analysis of dependence of economic growth on taxation and analysis of dependence of tax revenue on taxation. Finally, I will try to summarize the main causes of economic growth in the Republic of Ireland in 90's of 20th century.
The biofuels directive and its impact on the economics
Rollerová, Alena ; Zajíček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Mach, Petr (referee)
Liquid biofuels are supposed to be an alternative way to provide energy necessary for transportation which is in modern economies dominated by oil and oil products so far. Recent policies of the EU are to support the usage of this alternative. These policies were being justified by several arguments -- decreasing of oil-import dependence, support for agriculture, decrease of CO2 emissions etc. In this paper I discuss the validity of these supportive arguments and real and mostly unintended effects of aforementioned pro-biofuel-usage policies. I conclude that none of the arguments used to support the case of pro-biofuel-usage policies is based on sound economic reasoning and none is supported by available data or can be proved on the level of scientific standard. Moreover, unintended effects are mostly harmful for economies within and outside of the EU. Hopefully, there are signs of reconsidering of aforementioned policies.
BANK REGULATION FOCUSED ON ENTRY TO THE MARKET
Marková, Lenka ; Mach, Petr (advisor) ; Chytilová, Helena (referee)
Nowadays, the banking is considered one of the most regulated branches of economy. So I decided to write about this kind of regulation. Because this topic is very waste, I will focus primarily on barriers to entry -- the licensing. First of all I will describe the theory of the banking regulation, its objectives and system. And then I will clear out the problematic of licensing in Czech conditions. That means, I will explain how fulfill the requirements so bank obtain this license. Without license the subject can't be considered as a bank. Then will follow the arguments that explain why the entry to this segment is so guarded and regulated. We have to consider also the opposite side of this problematic, because there are opponents of the bank regulation. They criticize the current state in the banking. Their opinions point out the imperfections of the bank regulation and its possible consequences. They will be explained in the rest of the paper.
