Alternatives to unconditional sentence of imprisonment
Lukáš, Marek ; Šelleng, Dalibor (advisor) ; Mulák, Jiří (referee)
The subject of this master's thesis is a description of the current legislation and application practice of selected punishments that represent the main alternatives to the imposition of unconditional prison sentences. These punishments are house arrest, community service, financial penalty, suspended sentence of imprisonment and suspended sentence of imprisonment with supervision. Since each of the abovementioned punishments could be the subject of a separate master thesis, this thesis does not aim to describe the subject matter in detail, but rather to present the individual institutes in their mutual context, to compare their characteristic features, purpose, conditions, specifics of their execution, as well as their use in judicial practice. The thesis consists of eight chapters, three of which are of a general nature, four deal with individual penalties and the last one is devoted to de lege ferenda proposals. The first chapter defines the very concept of criminal punishment and its purpose. A substantial part of the chapter is devoted to the historical development of penology theories regarding the purpose of the criminal punishment, with special focus on the transition from a retributive and punitive view of punishment to the concept of restorative justice. The second chapter focuses on the...
Decathlon Training
Lukáš, Marek ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
DECATHLON TRAINING Thesis objectives: The aim of this case study was to describe its performance development, characterize athletics training in three training stages, and to analyze in more detail the training and performance progressions in three outdoor competition seasons. The author of this case study attempted to clarify his unbalanced performance results, and to estimate the future performance potential. Methods: This research paper is a case study, and the main methods that were used were description, comparison and data analysis. Results: The case study demonstrates that the author's performance development trend is slightly increasing, including the past outdoor competition season of 2018. The data indicates that the subject of the case study has not reached his performance potential. Individual decathlon competitions contain results that do not match the personal best results in certain individual disciplines. The training phases show that after the preparatory phase, the subject of the case study underwent moderately high training load, which was labeled as the specialized phase due to the athlete's familiarity of the decathlon training. Regarding the cost of the expressed training frequency, the analysis of the last three training cycles showed that the training cycles did not differ...

Decathlete training

DECATHLON TRAINING Thesis objectives: The aim of the thesis was to describe an actual performance process, to characterize an athletic training in its three stages, and to analyse in more detail a training in the last three years training cycles. The other aim was an evaluation of the last three seasons, searching for unbalanced results, and estimation of further performance possibilities. Methods: The methods used in the thesis were description, comparison and analysis. Results: We found out the individual training cycles are consistent to a large extent. The performance had a rising tendency almost to the final training cycle; nevertheless, the performance according to possible performance potential heretofore was not achieved. Better results are achieved in individual competitions, than in the whole decathlon. Keywords: decathlon, training, performance
Variability of the technique in decathlon
Lukáš, Marek ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Krátký, Petr (referee)
VARIABILITY OF THE TECHNIQUE IN DECATHLON Objective of the thesis The main aim of the thesis is to find technical deficiencies in particular disciplines during training phases and afterwards to find changes that occur in the technique during competition. The other aim was to compare quality of own technique and the model technique. Methodology In the thesis I used a method of surveillance and analysis of image sequences; a method of self-reflection was used in description of the competition technique. To assess the variability of technique a method of comparison was used. Results There were quite a number of technical deficiencies that occur during trainings. However during competitions these deficiencies partly disappear. Key words: track and field, decathlon, technique, assessment
