The objective ofthis master's thesis 'The Application ofthe Multimedia in ltalian Teaching' is to find a variety of new ideas for using technology while teaching ltalian to adult students. lt provides the reader with lesson plans as well as theoretical background. Blended learning, as we usually refer to implementing ICT tools into teaching, has become a way to enhance more traditional face-to-face lessons. Students expect teachers to apply technology, which is a natural part of their everyday lives, into their lessons and tend to appreciate the variety and interactivity it brings along. ln the first part, the paper aims to give a brief outlook of history of the approach which can be considered as a predecessor to blended leaming. lt goes on to present benefits as well as drawbacks ofimplementing technology into ltalian classes and to look at how the teacher's role in a blended course has changed compared to a traditional face-to-face one. lt also briefly describes the most common teaching methods and organisational forms of teaching in order to apply them into the following lesson plans. Hrbková, Olga ; Loucká, Hana (advisor) ; Štichauer, Jaroslav (referee)
Professional style includes scientific style, practical-expert style and popular educational style. The intial theoretical introduction is followed by an analysis on four levels: pragmatic, discursive, the theme-rheme structure and lexical-syntactic. The analysis i s based on a comparison of texts which belong to various areas of professional style and thematically pertain to the subject of ecology. Description of linguistic means is used as a foundation for the analysis on the syntactic and lexical level as well as the analysis of specific features in syntactic, morphological and lexical structure: - syntactic approach examines the use of various sentential constructions and word order in relation to the standards of professional style; - morphological approach focuses on the use of grammatical tenses and grammatical moods - lexical approach surveys the use ofterminology and word-forming process. The method applied determines specific requirements for analysis on individua! levels: on the pragmatic level we study pragmatic factors ofthe communication act. On discursive level we describe overall organization and types oftextual units. On the theme-rheme structure we focus on the arrangement of semantic components within a sentence from the functional sentence perspective and the potential of these...
The role of tenses in literary narrative texts
Bělohradská, Kristýna ; Loucká, Hana (advisor) ; Štichauer, Jaroslav (referee)
The title of this work is: The Role of Tenses in Literary Narrative Texts. The topic is part of the textual linguistics, in which the basis of research is the text itself, in our case it was the narrative text. The work is divided into three major parts, the first two parts are theoretical, whereas the third one is practical. The first part provides an overview of theoretical works concerning the enunciation plans. The second part deals with the narrative text and the narrator and the third, practical part, concerns the analysis of narrative texts. The choice of the topic was based on the assumption that the reader could create and reveal "hidden points of view" while getting to know the theories mentioned in the work. Their knowledge could lead to deeper understanding of reading in general. The role of tenses in literary narrative texts is crucial, especially in the case of creating the enunciation plans. For that reason in the first part of our work we focused on the description of linguistic theories covering the field. First, we describe E. Benveniste's theory, the next chapter deals with J.-M. Adam and D. Maingueneau and his division of enunciation plans "embrayé" and "nonembrayé". Finally, we mention H. Weinrich who deals with individual tenses. The second part of our work deals with narrative texts,...

Chobotová, Kateřina ; Špaček, Jiří (referee) ; Loucká, Hana (advisor)
The thesis focuses on a text analysis of a printed tourist guide and its potential possibilities of didactic use in French foreign language education. The thesis is divided into three sections. The first part deals with the submission of a printed tourist guide to the communicative sphere of tourism. It is first concerned with the sphere of tourism in general (to explain important terms such as the type of tourists or the tourist image). It then deals with the communicative sphere of tourism, its communicative situation and the written messages - tourist materials, which are divided between advertising and informational ones. Finally, it describes the printed tourist guide, its content and form, and presents a text typology based thematically. It shows stylistic procedures used in the text and their linguistic means, and also the tendencies a text has on text condensation and its coherence. The second section goes into the analysis of concrete texts of tourist guides. First of all, it deals with a description of the tourist guides from which the concrete texts were derived, especially from the point of view of a model addressee, i.e. what kind of tourist the texts are targeted to. Then three texts, each of them being the representative of a different text type based thematically, are analysed, from the...
N de N - morphological and syntactic analysis
Strnadová, Jana ; Loucká, Hana (referee) ; Štichauer, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work deals with binominal structure N de N in French. The goal of this work is to describe and analyse this structure and to show the different ways it can be examined. The whole work is divided into two main parts. The first part introduces the general concept of N de N structure and its variety. It describes the position of N de N structure in some important grammar books of the French language. Furthermore, it proposes a classification scheme that can be used to explain different types of the structure. The second part of the work focuses particularly on the N de N examples that could be considered as lexical units. These are studied in relation to noun phrases. After the presentation of the main theories of the noun composition, the structure is analysed from different perspectives, especially from morphological and syntactic point of view. Semantic and lexico-cognitive approach is, however, also introduced.

Linguistic devices of french in gastronomy and their use in didactics
Pauerová, Eva ; Špaček, Jiří (referee) ; Loucká, Hana (advisor)
The thesis focuses on French linguistic devices in the communicative sphere of gastronomy. It is based on the analysis of written texts, in particular of recipes, menu cards and newspaper and magazine articles that contain dietary advice. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part dwells on the typological determination of texts; it is further divided into three sections. Firstly it deals with kitchen recipes, followed by texts containing nutritional advice and, further on, menu cards. Every section contains an analysis of the type of text in terms of communicative situation, while observing pragmatical conditions of the text formation focused on the target recipient and also devices used to express the communicative function. The following section concerns the discourse and its organization, i.e. the scrutiny of specific stylistic methods used in the texts. The general analysis is concluded by the examination of linguistic devices of the texts, observing both the morfosyntactical and the lexical plan. Finally, a number of authentic texts is treated in the same way, with a discussion of the pragmatical plan, discursive plan and linguistic devices.
