The effect of Mental Health Awareness training for managers on the psychological capital of their people.

This thesis explores the role of leaders in the mental health care of employees. The theoretical part introduces leadership and its theories, describes different approaches to mental health in the workplace. It further presents health-oriented leadership, which is closely related to the mental health of subordinates, and presents the possibility of its development through Mental Health Awareness Training. It then discusses psychological capital, its importance in the context of health and organisations, and the possibility of development. The aim of the empirical part was to test whether Mental Health Awareness Training for leaders significantly increases the psychological capital of their subordinates and further to find out whether Mental Health Awareness Training for leaders significantly reduces their level of mental health stigma in the workplace. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) of repeated measures was used to test the hypotheses. Tukey's correction was used for post-hoc tests. The results show that Mental Health Awareness Training for leaders does not significantly increase the psychological capital of their subordinates. The Cognitive Interview and its Use in the Elderly Population

The present work deals with the method cognitive interview and its use in the elderly population. The literally-review section concentrates on description of the method and its further versions. Moreover, it adresses specifics of the eyewitness testimony of the elders and the use of cognitive interview method in this population. Following theoretical section, a quasiexperimental research which deals with the use of method in the elderly population with normal and impaired cognition is proposed.
