Analysis of students' internships in the field of addictology
Pavlovská, Amalie ; Havrdová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Libra, Jiří (referee)
Practical education (practice) is an important part of many fields of study at the universities. Education in the fields of medicine and social work, which create a base for the addictology, include a practice as a integral part of study. Practice enable students to gain important professional and work experience that complete the theoretical preparation. Students preparing for their profession in the social servises organizations, account for a future source of possible employees for these services providers. This thesis is focused on the area of providing and offering student practice within the study of addictology from the view of all three involved parties, the university, the organization providing a practice realisation and the students. The main aim of this work was to map a role and a significance of practical education within preparation of students of the addictology for a future profession. A partial aim was to suggest and create a set of recommendations for all parties involved in this process. The aims were achieved by using of qualitative research methods, i.e. documents analysis, interviews or questionnaires that also provided qualitative data. All ethical questions were kept. The whole work was realised in the form of a case study, so that it is focused mostly practically. The set...
Analysis of communication of clients in Low-Treshold center Drop In with transaction analysis approach
Titman Staňková, Nora ; Kalina, Kamil (advisor) ; Libra, Jiří (referee)
5 Abstrakt Objectives of the Paper Description of typical communication patterns amongst employees and different types of clients in Low-threshold Centre Drop In o.p.s. displayed on individual case studies; analysis of sub- sequently recorded communication using the methods and concepts of Transactional Analysis. Recommendations for more effective communication between staff and the clients. Integration of the paper as an annex to the Operational Manual of Low-threshold Centre Drop In o.p.s. as an educational document, examining specificities of communication, its pitfalls and difficulties, including promises and possibilities in the organization. Sample File Ten individual case reports, described in a form of multiple case studies, that represent the kinds of clients with whom staff of Low-threshold Centre Drop In o.p.s. often come into contact. The specific content of each case was shaped by compiling many real-life situations, showing particular clients' position. Data Processing Methods Content and form of communication was analyzed using the methods of Transactional Analy- sis, monitoring specific communication patterns, presented in a form of multiple case studies. Individual case reports were situationally analyzed using Transactional Analysis concepts and data were inserted into spreadsheet. Each...
Controlled drug use and specific counseling approaches to promoting abstinence of clients in low-threshold facilities
Rubášová, Eva ; Kalina, Kamil (advisor) ; Libra, Jiří (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of abstinence and controlled drug use in former long- term users of illegal drugs who have terminated their drug use or made significant changes to their hitherto lifestyle while not being aided by an institutional or residential therapy. When it comes to the process of rehabilitation, the addiction and illegal substance abuse syndrome is associated with therapy conducted in brick-and-mortar institutions that specialize in the treatment of drug addiction. Research studies concerned with significant regulation or termination of drug use in long-time abusers broaden the little explored area that the self- regulated, minimum support transition is (abstinence, abuse control). A case study of long- term drug users presents a hands-on example of the possibility to achieve transitive change without the need to be stationed in an institutional facility. It also accentuates interpersonal differences, which are essential in the process of indication, diagnosis, and recommendation, according to addiction specialists. In particular, the study points out intervention possibilities of the low-threshold center, which constitute the default program that is employed when the client refuses professional help of any other sort. From the perspective of the bio-psycho-...
Study of valence band structure of transition metals and alloys by ARUPS method
Pira, Peter ; Matolín, Vladimír (advisor) ; Libra, Jiří (referee)
Heterogeneous catalysis is one of many interesting part of physics, witch surface science study. Knowing of importance of processes in catalytic reaction should predict properties of new bimetallic systems. The main task of this diploma thesis was the study of valence band of transition metals. In this diploma thesis we studied bimetallic system of palladium and tin by ARUPS. We also used methods XPS, XPD and LEED, which are classical applications in surface physics.

Elements of Addiction: Factors of Success in Treatment for Drug Addict from Bio-Psychosocial-Spiritual Point of View
Král, Petr ; Sivek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Libra, Jiří (referee)
The whole work tries to elaborate the theme of addiction on addictive substances in focus on bio- psychosocial-spiritual part of the whole problem. Human personality has the deep based predisposition to be addictive and it has a complete potential to become addictive in all ways. The occasions of this addiction are able to be found in all domains of human being, beginning with physiognomy and ending with spirituality. The reasons why the subject becomes addictive or eventually only tries the addictive substances are able to be found in looking for transcendent experience, sense of existence, in escaping from problems, pain or killing the bore or solitude. If the human becomes addictive he starts an inescapable way leading straight to total destruction of personality in all its qualities. Spiritual part of personality, the self-awareness, the unity and the normal values are damaged by the addiction and the human is moving himself to his own animalism oriented to acquiring substances. The way back devoid of sleeks of nonsensicality is not easy but possibly to be found. The most of addictives go through the resocialization centers on their ways and so these centers could play a key role in changing the life and abstinence. This work tries to describe these factors, which the whole cure should imply. And...
