Small rotor dynamic balancer
Staněk, Michal ; Vyskočil, Pavel (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
Balancing of rotors is used to remove unwanted vibrations caused by uneven distribution of mass around the axis of rotation of the rotor. Operation of an unbalanced rotor may causes shortening of bearing life, fatigue of materials and deformation of shafts. This work deals with construction of a balancing machine (balancer). Because of its good properties, a soft bearing type balancer was chosen for construction. This type of balancer achieves higher sensitivity at the cost of calibration required for each type of rotor. To capture the magnitude of vibration electrodynamics sensors were chosen. To enter data and display results a microprocessor is used.
Generation of the time duration pulse with adjustable delay
Toman, Vít ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is engaged on methods and possibilities of square impulses of basic parameters (impulse duration time and delay time) generation by 8-bit AVR microcontroller made by Atmel Corporation and by conception of the generator circuit. Impulse duration time and impulse delay time settings are managed by matrix keypad and they are displayed on matrix display. Impulse power characteristics depend on microcontroller's electrical power characteristics.
FPGA based sound card for PC
Štraus, Pavel ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This project deals with implementation of a first order Sigma–Delta AD converter on the FPGA. This ADC is design for an audio signal processing. ADC is build up partially from digital blocks implemented in FPGA (programmed using VHDL) and from few analog components placed external to FPGA. Output from ADC is PCM signal. Data from ADC is created UDP datagram, which is sent to PC via network connection. Income data are received in created program, which save data to text file. This text file is processing in MATLAB.
Nano-ammeter with galvanic isolation
Šimka, Marek ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with all the aspects, that are important in the designing of the nano-ammeter. In theoretical part, there are described possible ways to measure electrical current of very low values. Other parts of the thesis describe all parameters, which are influencing measurement accuracy. These are, for example, unwanted and leakage currents, but also other parasitic phenomena that may occur. Thesis explains how to minimize unwanted currents and other influences. Practical section provides more detailed description of the proposed main scheme. There are also described components, that have been selected as the main parts of the nano-ammeter circuit. Subsequent part contains analysis of printed circuit board including all layers. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the realization of equipment and possible errors. The results of the bachelor are summarized in the last chapter.
Development of high resolution RGB camera
Control system for remote laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy
Petrilak, Michal ; Fuchs, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The work deals with the design of the control electronics for measuring set-up for elemental composition analysis using remote LIBS techniques. The electronics is designed in modular way for light interchangeability and variability. It consists of several separate plug-ins; each plug-in solves its part of the problem and communicates with others over the I2C bus. The work describes the basic components and concepts; a special care is taken to describe the modules for stepper motors control and for communication with focusing lens from Canon company.
Solar charger with embedded accumulator
Háněl, Petr ; Dušek, Martin (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The mobile devices are under rapid development today and thereby they put still more challenging requirements on charging technologies. The thesis deals with design and development of an off-line charger device for travel use. It is based on an accumulator that is being charged continuously using a solar cell. Alternatively the accumulator can be charged using a standard USB port. One of the key requirements on the device was simplicity of its circuitry in order to make the device cheaper and more reliable. The device is able to supply any mobile device that is using a standard USB port.
Multichannel HD-SDI digital video signal converter
Kučera, Stanislav ; Bobula, Marek (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the design of six channel SD, HD and 3G HD-SDI digital video signal converter to 10-Gigabit Ethernet. In the introductory part, the conception of designed device is formulated. The theoretical background is provided in four chapters, where main standards and design rules related to digital electronics’ design are analyzed. The emphasis is placed on signal integrity at high-speed interconnects. There mostly practical examples, calculations and simulations are utilized. The design part contains thorough description of main subsystems’ design, implementation of FPGA, SDI input channels and 10-Gigabit Ethernet PHY. In the final part, the first tests and measurements of the build prototype are summarized. As an example, the comparison of signal integrity simulation to measurement is provided.
Digitally controlled power supply
Madron, Martin ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is about design of digitally controlled power supply. The introduction describes the basic principle of power supplies and their division. The thesis deals with solving the adjustable current source with adjustable current cutout. The solution of supply was made using linear stabilizers L200 controlled by digital potentiometers. Control handles microcontroller ATmega16 from Atmel. The user interface is realized by the matrix keyboard and LCD display. At the conclusion of the work there is a selection of the structural components.
