STM study of growing 1D nanostructures composed by III and IV group atoms

In the presented work we study Al and Sn on a Si(100)2$\times$1 surface by means of STM. Peculiarities of displaying and morphology of metallic structures are investigated. Utilizing the STM to investigate Al and Sn, we obtain the growth characteristics for various coverage and temperatures at deposition. It is shown, that island size distribution is scalable for both metals and has a qualitatively different character. In order to interpret the growth characteristics and obtain unknown microscopic parameters, a new software tool for kinetic Monte Carlo (kMC) simulations of aluminum was conceived.

The Relationship Between the Austrian State and the Roman Catholic Church from 1870 to 1918

The theme of the thesis, The Relation between the State and the Roman Catholic Church in the period 1870-1918, is rather extensive. The thesis starts with a view of the development of the relation. It describes Tolerance Letters Patent of Joseph II., Evangelical Letters Patent of 1861 and continues to the turning point, December Constitution of 1867, bringing beginning of democratization of feudal Austria's society. The thesis then focuses on the Codes of 1868 and 1874 which partly restricted the authority of the Catholic Church on the other hand they brought new impulse for development of churches and religious societies not recognized by the state until that time. Profound investigation of the relation history could help in the current dialogue between the state and the church.

State Social Politics in the Context of the Social Politics of the Roman Catholic Church

Social politics - strong-willed state's, municipalites' and another subjects' activity which goal is improving the living conditions of people, implementation of human rights and development of each person. Social state - which is responsible for social and economic processes. Regarding strict liberal conception, those processes should be kept solely in competency of civil society and its market mechanism. This conception guarantees some social security for each member of the society, the active role of the state in providing social rights. Social security - the Czech legal order contains: health insurance, pension security, pension insurance, social care. State's welfare - represents a system of social benefits, where the state shares the costs of sustenance and the other basic children's and family's exigencies, this system is addressed, which means that some benefits depend on the income of the family. Encyclical - pope circular note addressed usually to the bishops, which contains consequential questions of faith and morality. It defines the social politics of the Church as well.
