Mobile Phone in the Life of a Child

This graduation thesis is about phenomenon of mobile phones and its concept in relation to the children. In the first part of thesis the attention is given to psychology, medical, economical, education aspects of the use of mobile phones by the children from its positive and negative point of view. The fundamental attention is given to its influence in educational system. The second part introduces results of the research, surveying the influence of the mobile phones on the life style of the children between 11-15 years old. The conclusion of the thesis is recommendation for the pedagogical field.

Sibling Relationships between Children

In the first part, my work is covering family, "sibling constelations" including family situation with one child. Also touches interpersonal sibling relationships and their variable factors, concerns the phenomena of relationships between siblings of the same parents and adopted ones. Second part, contains quality research using "dialogue method" (interview) with six full siblings from three different families. The goal was to recognize specific sibling relationships concernig family constelations and trace what factors and to what extent influence these relationships. As conclusion of my work I evaluated siblings positions and their positive and negative impact on personalities of children and their relationships. Specific factors as the age difference between siblings, polarity of genders and the role of parents are highlighted.

Free-Time Activities as a System of Interdisciplinary Development of Children

The thesis provides a systematic insight to issues of pupils' free-time activities in relation to primary school transformation. The aim is to show a new perspective of developing personalities of children by means of free-time activities at primary schools. Theoretic part of the thesis presents a systematic overview of the subject matter. By literary search method, there are explored current educational needs and real possibilities of developing key competencies of school-age children during their free time. The practical part includes description of a survey conducted employing quantitative and qualitative methods of pedagogical research. The outcomes of the survey reflect various free-time activities typical for adolescents. Structured interviews enabled to monitor activities of after-school centers from the point of view of pupils, their parents and teachers. The study proved predominating passive approach of pupils to their free-time activities partly caused by non-systematic education and care in their younger school age. The thesis concludes in a project proposal based on possible ways of implementing systematic interdisciplinary approach aimed at developing pupils' competencies by means of free-time education managed by schools.

The Influence of One?s Peers on the Behaviou r of Individuals and Opportunities for Didactic Use in Health Classes

Theme of my dissertation is an investigation of the impact of the peers on the individuals behavior and possibilities of didactic application in the upbringing to health. In the first chapter I describe influences acting on an individual behavior. In the second chapter I take an interest in social groups. The third chapter pays attention to the peers. In another part of my dissertation I solve the subject of conformity. Fifth part of my thesis calling itself "Manipulation" and analyses this area. Last chapter of the theoretical part of this dissertation refers to assertivity - represents assertive human rights and basic assertive skills with recommendation of its usage in daily routine. My thesis goes on with an practical experiment related to conformism with the aim to find out if the students of 8. th class of basic schoools (13, 14 years old) are conformai at all and to what extent. Last chapter is dedicated to practical utilization of my dissertation - the scope of project "Behavior and its influence in the peer groups (conformity, manipulation, asertivity)" carried out in the volume of 5 lessons.

Cultural and sociological aspects of the transformation of football spectatorship in the Czech Republic

Spectator violence commited during football matches is felt very inconsistently in the world. There are particularities of football violence in every country and each of them solves this problem in a different way, in its cultural and traditional context although the principle is the same - the elimination of dangerous fan groups. Game, sport, football and the spectatorship have deep fundamentals in cultural and social rootage of human existence. Any play is natural part of life. The Football violence is social adverse behaviour and current science wants to solve its causes. Our opinion is that the violence factors in football inhere in context of social life. The Czech republic has gone trough different political development than the West countries since the end of the World War II.. These differencies have impact on football violence as well. In connexion with globalization effects the Czech football violence has the basic features like other countries where football is popular.

Knowledge of Children of a Selected Secondary School about Poverty

This dissertation study, The Knowledge of Children of a Selected Secondary School about Poverty, characterizes the concept of poverty from different angles. The theory part concretely defines the concept of poverty. It describes types of poverty, treats the topic of reasons behind and outcomes of the mentioned global problem. This work delineates the marking of poverty in the Czech Republic and maps out in general the situation of the global problem in the world. It demarcates the meaning of The World Bank, which effectively decreases poverty in the world. The closing argument of the theory part treats the topic of preventing poverty, and organizations which deal specifically with poverty. The empirical portion of the dissertation is handled through the vehicle of research, realized through questionnaire surveys with the help of non-standardized questionnaires, which ascertain poverty awareness of pupils of the selected middle school. The Positions of Secondary School Students towards New Religious Movements

Na základní škole ani při studiu na gymnáziu jsem se s výukou o nových náboženských hnutích nikdy nesetkala. Informace o sektách a nových náboženských hnutích jsem jen občas zaregistrovala prostřednictvím médií, kdy byly veřejnosti sdělovány aféry, týkající se většinou hromadných sebevražd v zahraničí. O svědcích Jehovových jsem věděla, že nepřijímají krevní transfúzi a neslaví křesťanské svátky, o hnutí Haré Kršna zase to, že pořádají oranžové pochody centrem Prahy a provozují vegetariánské restaurace. Scientologickou církví mi byly několikrát v metru nabízeny Oxfordské testy, které jsem však nikdy neabsolvovala. S projevy satanismu jsem se setkala pouze prostřednictvím amerických hororů a o mormonech jsem ani nevěděla, že existují. Poprvé jsem se s problematikou nových náboženských hnutí setkala až ve čtvrtém ročníku Pedagogické fakulty. V zimním semestru jsem absolvovala povinný kurz - Nová náboženská hnutí - a v následujícím semestru volitelný seminář o nových náboženských hnutích. Oba tyto předměty vyučoval PhDr. Zdeněk Vojtíšek. Jeho přednášky mne velmi zaujaly. V rámci výuky jsem se také zúčastnila několika exkurzí a rovněž jsem měla možnost navštívit veřejné přednášky a semináře pořádané Společností pro studium sekt a nových náboženských směrů, které se konají na Fakultě humanitních studií.
