LABORARTORY BRNO
Lelkes, Ivana ; Krištof, Michal (referee) ; Ponešová, Barbora (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is a solution for corner building on ringstrasse in Brno. Building ground is on the east corner of crossroads of two streets with significantly busy trafic, Koliště and Milady Horákové. Architecture of the buildng responds to the realities of the environmet, to positive as well as to negative. The main idea of the concept is to create a house introverted to outside and extroverted to inside. Extroverted atrium is in a strong contrast with introverted facade, the building exposes the events realised inside to the extent possible.
LABORARTORY BRNO
Brhelová, Jaroslava ; Krištof, Michal (referee) ; Ponešová, Barbora (advisor)
Gallery of architecture, modern art and design. Located of corner Milady Horákové and Koliště streets on green belt surrounding the city center. It becomes a part of important city buildings and creates a space for exposition of various forms. It also deals with connection of urban greenery and recreation areas between Lužánky parc and city centre. Interior offers special expositions modes.

The project presents the vision for new development of the site under the Castle of Bratislava . The project deals with important modifications in the city center and waterfront. The vision is verified by volumetric study with the program of new building of culture center.
Study of B-meson decays in the Belle experiment
Krištof, Michal ; Doležal, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Davídek, Tomáš (referee)
In the thesis we study the decay of B0 meson to D∗ s and ρ mesons. The thesis explains the methods and approaches to data analysis in so-called B-factories, simmilar to the KEKB accelerator. The aim of this thesis is to calculate the branching fraction of this decay to further improve the previously measured branching ratio at BaBar experiment with additional data gained from an ex- periment with higher integrated luminosity. This thesis's prospect is not only broadening our knowledge of branching fractions of B0 meson decays, but also it is a starting point for further analysis with the goal of broadening our knowl- edge of CP symmetry violation in the Standard Model by measuring angles of the Unitary Triangle. 1
Gas electron multiplier based photon detection for Cherenkov imaging applications
Krištof, Michal ; Finger, Michael (advisor) ; Procházka, Ivan (referee)
In the thesis we focus on the methods used to detect photons in Ring Imaging Cherenkov detectors, their description and the basics of the physical phenomena which lie behind them. We provide a brief description of the gaseous detector types and we describe the development of the new Thick GEM based detection system for the RICH-1 of the COMPASS experiment. We provide a detailed description of the latest tests and the convoluted route of the research done in the field. We review the ThGEM-based detector performance in comparison to the other methods of detection. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
