SFN and MFN networks design in DVB-T
Dostal, Radek ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on SFN (Single Frequency Network) and MFN (Multi Frequency Network) networks design in digital television broadcasting based on DVB-T standard. First part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical description of the MPEG-2 transport stream and basic parameters of broadcasting network, transmitters and transmission path. In practical part are introduced basic parameters of a software package for broadcast network design in RadioLab, RadioBase and Sítě SFN, and results displayed on the digital terrain map and morphologic map. Within solution of this thesis was created signal coverage model of digital transmitters in entire area of Czech Republic, so called networks no.1-4, according to its status in spring 2008. Next is focused on government order about convert from analog to digital video broadcasting terrestrial.
Input audio preamplifier used for laboratory measurements
Kučera, Ondřej ; Kaller, Ondřej (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This article looks at pre-input low-frequency amplifiers for laboratory work. The task was to study, design and build a fully functional pre-input amplifier for use in low frequency audio technology. In each section, we will discuss the various preamps, which are classified according to signal processing parameters. The construction of each amplifier uses discrete components and operational amplifiers. The second part of the article looks at different measuring devices, such as input sensitivity, transfer characteristics and input impedance etc., which would form part of the amplifier.
Mixing console for audio signals
Ryšavý, Ondřej ; Kufa, Jan (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis on the topic „Mixing console for audio signals“ deals with the design and production of a mixing console for mixing several independent audio channels. In the first step is designed a block diagram and then a circuit diagram. The overall configuration of the mixing console is: Four mono inputs, designed as a combined XLR/JACK 6,3 mm input, where you can connect a microphone or other mono signal (not both at the same time), two stereo inputs RCA(CINCH). Each channel allows five-band frequency correction, panorama, signal level control and signal level detection. The output is realized per line connectors (for connection to the amplifier), headphone output and headphone amplifier. After design, the mixing console is producted, revived and then measured in an audio laboratory.
Automatic Control of the Manual Air-condition in the car
Zajíc, Jakub ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Říčný, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s theses deal with possibility of realization manual air-conditioning adaptor analysis, which would enable automatic adjusting of elected temperature into a car. Part of this analysis is block proposal of type of analog and digital construction of automatic air-conditioning adaptor. Both block diagrams are accompanied with functional description. Due to pro-and-con evaluation of both types of construction was decided to realize analog version of air-conditioning. Detail partial functional description of functional blocks and analytical analysis of its influence to general temperature adjusting accuracy are presented. Within bachelor’s theses is performed circuit proposal of all partial blocks of manual air conditioning adaptor. Component of proposal is creating of all bases for construction of functional equipment model. Final phase of bachelor's theses deal with realization of functional adaptor model and its calibration for measuring and temperature control into a car.
Audio mixer used for laboratory measurements
Kalina, Ladislav ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with an analysis of the mixing console and its design. In several chapters are describes each parts of design. First part is focused on describing of mixing console, thereafter moving on the design each circuit such as preamplifier and equalizer. The second part contains design of printed circuit board and also measurement and testing those PCBs. This paper also including concept of chassis of whole device. Also contains graphic design of control panel.
Effect amplifier for electric guitar
Kočiš, Martin ; Brančík, Lubomír (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
In the first chapter, the thesis concisely describes perception of harmonic frequency components by human ear. The second chapter introduces the reader into purpose of guitar effects and summary of usual types, which is possible to meet on the market. The third chapter contains functional description of chosen effects including designed schematics and simulations of functionality in time and frequency domain, eventually unrealized solution. The device contains input highpass filter with emitter follower, booster, overdrive and clean amplifier, circuit for octave-up frequency shift, delay line, output emitter follower with lowpass filter and power supply for all these circuits. Selection of the effects and its controls was subordinated especially to use in alternative rock music. The design is based on simulations executed using OrCAD PSpice. The realization process and the measurement is described in the fourth chapter and the last chapter contains conclusion of the project.
Multichannel audio DAC for laboratory measurements
Kristek, Tomáš ; Kufa, Jan (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
The content of this bachelor thesis is the design and construction of a multi-channel audio D/A converter, which will be used for laboratory use. It includes a digital signal input using SPDIF communication, the D/A converter itself, control of the D/A converter chip using the SPI bus, power circuits and symmetrical output.

Application of Business Intelligence in a Corporate Environment
Suszterová, Sandra ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Luhan, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of a reporting solution using a Business Intelligence tool within a selected corporate environment. The ideal Business Intelligence solution will be selected based on the company's defined requirements and an analysis of available options. The final outcome of the thesis will be an automated reporting system delivered to individual users and also integrated within the company's own business application, presented in a visually attractive and informative way through appropriate Business Intelligence tool.
Audio DSP processor for laboratory measurements
Navrátil, Jiří ; Polák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis's content is designing and constructing a device for laboratory teaching in the Audio Electronics class. The audio DSP processor ADAU1701 from Analog Devices with integrated A/D and D/A converters is used. The SigmaStudio program is used to set up the processor, and communication is mediated by a programmer board connected to a computer via a USB connector.
