IThe Illegal group around Karel Nesnídal as a part of Sokol resistance in Hradec Králové region

The topics of the thesis are the life stories of members of the Czechoslovak Sokol Community in the division VII. Hradec Králové, Karel Nesnídal, Josef Urban, Antonín Stiehl, František Weihrauch and Václav Válek after the Nazis involuntary terminated this organization on 8th October 1941. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the origin and structure of the Sokol resistance organization JINDRA, its activities in illegality (code names, passwords, specific encryption system), and to map the fate of these actors after contact with František Pecháček and follow-up connection with the group S21B and the paratrooper group Silver A. The work also deals with uncovering the organization after the arrest of Ladislav Vaněk, head of the JINDRA Group for Bohemia and Moravia, who decided to cooperate with the Gestapo to provide the secret German police the information about other members of the group and its content. The second part of the thesis deals with the arrest and imprisonment of Sokol officials, their conviction to death (Karel Nesnídal and other resistance fighters, leaders and officials of individual divisions) and to the special treatment (Urban, Válek, Weihrauch a Stiehl). In the Shadow of Lidice - Comparison of changes in the memory of the villages exterminated during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia

This diploma thesis is focused on changes of perception of selected municipalities, which were affected by extermination action during the existence of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Unlike Lidice and Ležáky, however, they are not so well-known today. For comparison, I chose five Moravian villages and settlements, of which Zákřov and Javoříčko lay in the Olomouc, Ploština, Prlov and Vařákovy paseky were in the area of Wallachia. The introductory part is devoted to the theory of memory, focusing on collective memory and memory space with inspiration from sociology and history authors. Namely Maurice Halbwachs, Pierre Nora, Jan Assmann and Miroslav Hroch in Czechia. This is followed by a chronological summary of historical developments in individual localities, from their origin, through their destruction to development after World War II. The main passage of this work is an overview of professional, non-fiction and, rarely, fictional literary sources and media sources that have created memory of these places since the end of World War II to the present day. Chapter of the Czechoslovak Red Cross History (1945 - 1952)

The thesis is dedicated to the history of the Czechoslovak Red Cross (CSRC) organization, especially to the period 1945 - 1952. The CSRC carried out valuable activities between 1945 and 1948 not only in the medical field, but also in social services. Training of caregivers and voluntary nurses, establishing and operating medical facilities or searching for missing individuals due to WWII can be listed among others. A particular phase of CSRC history started after February 1948 Coup, when it slowly transformed into voluntary organization of the National Front. This diploma thesis called The city of Kutna Hora in year 1968 describes main events of year 1968 is the city of Kutna Hora in the Central Bohemian Region. At the beginning of this thesis, there is described the whole of Czechoslovakia in year 1968. The aim of this work was to concentrate to events of this year in the city of Kutna Hora and make an overview about this city in year 1968. There is the whole situation in Kutna Hora from the beginning of they till invasion of Armed force in August. Kutna Hora was not very strategic place in Czechoslovakia. For this work, the method of oral history was mainly used, big part of this thesis are stories and memories of local people, who remember the year 1968. History Education and Modern Musical Theatre

The thesis focuses on portraying historical events in musical theatre pieces. It explores especially the historical musical Hamilton that became a phenomenon in the field. The musical narrates the story of Alexander Hamilton and historical events that led to the foundation of the United States of America. The first part of the thesis analyses how the musical Hamilton portrays historical phenomena, events and personalities. It also explores various methods how they are staged. The results of this analysis will be used for comparison of musical Hamilton with other contemporary musicals. In the final part the thesis points out the possibilities of usage of modern musical theatre in history education.
