The Impact of ICT on selected behaviors and habits of Generation Y in the Czech and Slovak Republic
Kopecký, Oldřich ; Smutný, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Čermák, Radim (referee)
The constant evolution of ICT changes the habits and way of life of today´s generation. At the same time, it affects their sexuality and the associated sexual life. Generation Y represents the generation of young people who come into contact with ICT from the young age and excel in high-level information literacy. This diploma thesis is offering a comprehensive view of the impact of ICT on Generation Y in terms of human sexual-ity and pornography. The social research brings findings on ICT usage issues in differ-ent places (at work, at university, etc.), security and privacy protection in the virtual world, and ICT pornography. The research of studies from foreign countries passes to the author´s own research. It also reflects new trends in ICT; the 3D virtual reality. In the final part of the diploma thesis the author discusses and compares the results ob-tained by his own research with foreign studies. At the same time, author´s own find-ings are formulated. Author is also proposing questions that could form the basis of research at the organisational level.
Taxonomic revision of the genus Gracula in the Island of Sumatra and the southwest located islands
Švejcarová, Tereza ; Kopecký, Oldřich (advisor) ; Petr, Petr (referee)
Hill Mynas Gracula have a wide distribution range covering all of Southeast Asia. They became a popular cage bird due to their ability to mimic human speech. Massive demand had a tragic impact on the wild populations of Hill Mynas throughout their range. Since the first description of the species there have been significant discrepancies in the classification. Continuous pressure on the wild populations caused an urgent need of conservation attention in many places, which was hindered by taxonomical uncertainties. Decades of specialists disagreements caused crossbreeding of mynas from different areas and thus disappearance of their typical characteristics. The only possible way for taxonomic revision has become a field research. This research was focused on the taxonomic revision of the Common Hill Myna Gracula religiosa in Sumatra and its nearby islands, where the highest diversity of the genus taxa occurs. The aim was to evaluate the current situation of the wild populations and to collect the largest possible set of morphometric information. The analyses uncovered that studied taxa are all clearly distinguishable. Taxon miotera from the island of Simeulue, oftenly overlooked in literature, showed the largest differences as well as taxon robusta from Nias. If taxon robusta is recognised a full species, miotera should be upgraded to a species level as well. Mynas from the additional two locations show differences too and are both clearly distinguishable from the others. The differences dont show such significance to treat these taxa as species without further combination of morphometry and genetics. A surviving population of the Nias Hill Myna Gracula (r.) robusta, last recorded by scientists in 1939 was found during this research as well as acoustic evidence of taxon miotera from Simeulue which was also identified as possibly extinct.
Egg clutch deposition of the agile frog Rana dalmatina in water habitats
Kopáčová, Nikol ; Solský, Milič (advisor) ; Kopecký, Oldřich (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to further explore the habitat requirements of lean frog (Rana dalmatina). Data collection was conducted in 2007 to 2010 and 2015, a total of 27 locations Hornojiřetínské dump. Were examined factors such as the depth at which they are placed brood, the distance between the clutch, clutches distance from the shore, the location of each type clutches, or whether they are placed in the littoral or not. Furthermore, the slope of the banks surveyed sites and level of insolation. For comparison, if the total number of broods on the site may or may not affect the minimum distance between the clutch, was used Mann Whitney nonparametric test. From the results it can be assumed that the agile frog prefers for laying clutches least partially sunlit areas with plenty of littoral vegetation and gentle slope shores. Depth shallower reservoirs prefers, however, requires the presence of deeper parts of the winter. From the results of a Mann-Whitney non-parametric test in this case is not clearly confirm that the total number of clutches on the location somehow significantly affect distances closest neighboring broods, respectively, that the higher the number of males in the location dwindled defended territory of each of them, and vice versa.
Long-term monitoring of amphibian populations: methods and importance
Vargas Cáceres, Liz Mabel ; Vojar, Jiří (advisor) ; Kopecký, Oldřich (referee)
In the last decade, there has been particular concern about the apparent widespread decline of many amphibian populations. Aside anthropogenic stressors, there are large, natural fluctuations in amphibian populations that need to be established through long-term monitoring programs with sufficient spatial scale to preclude the misinterpretation of preliminary data cause y variations in natural factors. The true utility of multiple, long-term studies is an understanding of how geographic and species-specific differences affect population fluctuations. Despite the obvious importance of time series analyses in this process, they are still rare in amphibian ecology. The literary review of the main causes of amphibian population declines, dynamics of the amphibians, the meta-analysis of the available long-term publication reports of amphibian population trends available at this point in time, as well as the active involvement in field work, data-collection, and the preparation of a manuscript of 11-year monitoring of abundances of the agile frog (Rana dalmatina) are the main purposes of this bachelor thesis.
Reproductive ecology of the agile frog (Rana dalmatina)
Humpová, Kateřina ; Chajma, Petr (advisor) ; Kopecký, Oldřich (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the reproductive ecology of the agile frog (Rana dalmatina). It is divided into two parts. The first part consists of the general description of the agile frog and its environment. The second part describes the reproduction of the agile frog, beginning from the end of hibernation, through the mate choice, ending with the metamorphosis. And in the final part, factors that influence the environment of the agile frog are briefly discussed. This bachelor thesis can serve as a baseline for the future research of this species.
Spring migration of amphibians in relation to the lunar cycle
Michalcová, Pavlína ; Kopecký, Oldřich (advisor) ; Vojar, Jiří (referee)
Spring migration of amphibians is often studied phenomenon. Individuals who wake up in the spring after winter hibernation leave their winter shelters and move into nearby water reservoirs to mate here. While the course of the reproduction is well documented a terrestrial stage of amphibian life cycle is poorly known. This work deals with the influence of exogenous factors on spring migration of alpine newt Ichthyosaura alpestris (Laurenti 1768) (formerly Mesotriton alpestris, Triturus alpestris) and is especially focused on the lunar cycle. The null hypothesis was formulated as follows: The number of newts arriving into the water reservoir during the spring migration is independent on the phase of the lunar cycle. Spring migration of alpine newts was monitored during two years at two localities. Males on location Čachnov mostly migrated on 25th day of the lunar cycle while females on this location mostly migrated on 26th day of the lunar cycle. Males on the location Hylváty mostly migrated on 21st day of the lunar cycle while females migrated evenly throughout the entire cycle. Based on obtained data it can be assumed that there is a correlation between the number of migrating individuals and the lunar cycle. Probably the main reason for this is the intensity of light reaching the earth´s surface which makes it easier for amphibians to navigate during the spring migration.
Product and services proposal in the Beyond Banking
Kopecký, Oldřich ; Albrecht, Jakub (advisor) ; Voříšek, Jiří (referee)
The Bachelor thesis is focused on the Beyond Banking area and its main aim is to bring new innovative proposals of products and services in that area. In the first part author introduces Beyond Banking and concepts associated with it, while he describes what motivate the bank to introduce the Beyond Banking activities and the significance of the client in this field. In the next section the author analyses the current state of the banking market in the Czech Republic and outlines the possible future direction of the market from the results. In the analytical part of the thesis the author presents existing beyond banking activities in Czech Republic as well as in the foreign markets and in the last part of the thesis the author introduces his product design in the area of beyond banking. After presenting the proposals, the author chooses one proposal and analyses it in more detail.
