Mobile App for Viewing Internet Pictures
Kočnar, David ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis explains issues concerning the development of mobile applications for Android and describes a complete design and development of mobile application Impres for image viewing. In addition to the mobile application there was also created a server application in PHP providing data from different internet sources. Taken together this service aims to bring to its user an inspiring content consisting of phototography and other visual art. The service will automatically add new content and create user-personalised selection. The work also describes theoretical knowledge and procedures necessary for technical design and development of mobile applications. Conclusion evaluates solution and proposals for possible other features.
Learning to Generate Images with Convolutional Neural Networks
Kohút, Jan ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to design and analyze convolutional neural networks generating images of characters based on their parameters. Parameters of characters are type of char, font, colour of character, background colour, translation and rotation. Neural networks have created multidimensional representation of each parameter. Relations inside these representation are similar to relations inside parameters. Neural networks generate characters with new values of parameters based on interpolation between learned values of parameters. Neural networks are capable to generalize problem of generating images.
Active Learning with Neural Networks
Bureš, Tomáš ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
The topic of this thesis in active learning in conjunction with neural networks. First, it deals with theory of active learning and strategies used in real life scenarios. Followed by practical part, experimenting with active learning strategie and evaluating those experiments.
Virtual Waiting Room Client for iOS
Bukovský, Luděk ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to develop and to implement a user friendly mobile application for users to registrate on terms with help of reservation system. The result is an application for mobile platform iOS with enjoyable look. Testing was made with users, who rated application in positive way and easy to use. As a main benefit of this work is considered fitingly developed user interface.
Acceleration of Particles Tracking on CBM Experiment
Roth, Michael ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
The focus of this work is to research various methods of particle track reconstruction in the CBM experiment, and the problem of hardware acceleration of these methods. The advantages and disadvantages of the extended methods were discussed and a reconstruction method based on cellular automata and Kalman filters was selected for further study. In particular, the thesis details the development of a simulation model suitable for generating test data to facilitate future implementation of the selected tracking algorithm. Two different particle simulators have been developed and will be used in the following work to calculate the prediction step of the extended Kalman filter and to test the quality of the implemented reconstruction method.
Octave to C++ Source-to-Source Compiler
Ševčík, Václav ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kolář, Martin (advisor)
It is difficult to use programs developed in the interactive programming environment Matlab for low-memory devices and for integration into projects without the language support. Therefore, the programs are converted into C++. In practice, manual transfer is used which significantly prolongs the time of the developing program. The work focuses on the automation of translation from Octave/Matlab to C++ using the Eigen library to enable matrix and vector operations. The translator allows 39 basic operations and 13 functions of the Octave language. Experiments show that this translation will reduce memory requirements of up to 99%
Video Montage on Android
Janska, Miroslav ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Kolář, Martin (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to implement an application enabling video editing on the Android platform. The FFmpeg framework was used in the implementation. It enables manipulation with multimedia content. The application was iteratively improved and adapted to user requirements during implementation. The resulting application allows video cutting, merging several videos, and applying effects. Thanks to the application a potential user can edit recorded videos in a few minutes.
Generating Faces with Conditional Generative Adversarial Networks
Venkrbec, Tomáš ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Kolář, Martin (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to implement and compare models based on various architectures of conditional generative adversarial networks. Their main purpose is to conditionally generate realistic looking human faces with selected features. Results from models using DCGAN, WGAN-GP and ProGAN architectures were compared. Models were implemented using Tensorflow library and were trained on Flickr-Faces-HQ dataset. Across all used architectures, I managed to train models capable of generating realistic human faces, with an option to select age and gender.
Neural Network for Autocomplete in the Browser
Kubík, Ján Jakub ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Kolář, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create and train a neural network and use it in a web browser for English text sequence prediction during writing of text by the user. The intention is to simplify the writing of frequent phrases. The problem is solved by employing a recurrent neural network that is able to predict output text based on the text input. Trained neural network is then used in a Google Chrome extension. By normalized ouput of the neural network, text choosing by sampling decoding algorithm and connecting, the extension is able to generate English word sequences, which are shown to the user as suggested text. The neural network is optimized by selecting the right loss function, and a suitable number of recurrent layers, neurons in the layers, and training epochs. The thesis contributes to enhancing the everyday user experience of writing on the Internet by using a neural network for English word sequence autocomplete in the browser.
Warehouse Simulation and Product Distribution Optimization for Increased Throughput
Kočica, Filip ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Kodym, Oldřich (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the storage location assignment problem using modern meta-heuristic techniques combined with realistic simulation. A graphical tool implemented as part of this work is capable of warehouse model creation, generation of synthetic customer orders, optimization of product allocation using state of the art techniques, extensive warehouse simulation, and a pathfinder capable of finding the shortest path for orders going through the system. The work presents the comparison between different approaches based on many parameters to reach the most efficient allocation of products to warehouse slots. The author conducted tests on an experimental warehouse featuring almost twice the throughput -- 57%. The benefit of this work is a possibility to create model of an already built warehouse and its simulation and optimization, driving impact on the throughput of the warehouse, saving the user's resources, or helping him in planning and bottle-neck identification. Furthermore, this thesis introduces a new approach to warehouse optimization and new optimization criteria.
