Contribution of Ladislav Daniel for school music education

The thesis deals with personality and contribution of professor L. Daniel for school music education. In the introduction is analyzed Daniel's life and activities, which as a professional in his discipline devoted after all his life. The research part of this thesis provides information on the investigation. The thesis contains findings that were obtained on the basis of qualitative research. The aim of this research was to determine the musical public awareness about Daniel's work and the application of his methods in practice. For qualitative research were elected beginning teachers and teachers from practice in the field of music or graduates of teacher training for primary schools with extended specializing in music education. The results of this research can be an inspiration for further reflection on the application of Daniel's work in practice. Contemporary artistic-musical contexts of the preschool education in the field of pedagogical research

The thesis in theoretical layer deals with issues of pedagogical secondary schools, particularly in methodological approaches to preschool education. The author will focuses on this topic from the perspective of high-school of pedagogy teachers. She will elaborate on psychological characteristics of a preschool age child in the context of integration and polyaesthetization. She will characterise processes by which personal values are formed. She will deal with dynamics of contemporary changes of both society and family and with perception of education in kindergartens in the field of personality concept of education. The research will introduce opinions on contemporary needs of pedagogical practice and its reflection on professional pedagogical, scientific and academic grounds that will be ascertained through the means of interviews with teachers having a long-time experience with teaching at pedagogical high schools in the Czech Republic and by survey among secondary pedagogical school's students.
Folk songs and their role in the musical development of nursery school children

The aim of the thesis is to address the important role and benefit of folk songs in the development of child's musical skills. The theoretical part studies children currently attending nursery schools and their development. Children are often in heterogeneous by age classes but each age category is on a different level of development and has own specific needs. At the same time it is necessary to work in accordance with the education system and follow its curriculum. The thesis offers guidelines that give suggestions and examples of how to fulfil this requirement by working with a selection of folk songs. The majority of exercises address the all-round development of the child's musical skills (activities: exercises with music, instrumental, singing and listening). There are examples of other activities facititating all- round development of the child based on the topic of the song.

Structure and Research of Out-Of-School Influences on the Musical Development of the Child

The Diploma Thesis deals with the matters of children's musicality and the main factors influencing it. The thesis includes a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the musicality issue and its structure, as well as on the factors that participate in this matter. Special attention is put to the out-of-school influences on the development of musicality. There is an outline of the influence of a family and its members, characteristics of a contemporary family and a present-day lifestyle. The thesis also deals with a social group influence and the impact of mass media, such as television, computers and the Internet. One of the subchapters is dedicated to the out-of-school artistic interests of children; another one deals with how music around us can act in a form of commercials, or in a store, for example. The practical part of this thesis is formed through a research oriented to the out-of-school influences mentioned above. This research was held at Libčická Primary School, Prague. The research included a questionnaire; the next step was a musical ability test, which later served to the elaboration of case studies of selected children. Development of music and movement choreography for preschool children using my own didactic tools

Master's thesis addresses the implementation of didactic tool to musical movement activities of preschool children in kindergarten with respect to the integrative nature of education. The first part of the thesis is covering theoretical side of the important aspects of child development at the age of five to six years. Further it deals with the specifics of the development of musicality in preschoolers, especially focusing on instrumental side of the music. It highlights the musical creativity that flows from the principles of Orff School. Musical creativity is one of the objective of the thesis second, practical part. Here thesis research music educational project whose main component is a methodical set Cup Song that contains suggestions for practical usage. Experiment, observation and structured interview are used as methods of research that is focused on verification of the Cup Song impact on a musical and personal development of the child.
