Double Layer Porous Asphalt with Aspahlt-rubber Binder
Klimeš, Petr ; Hegr, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kudrna, Jan (advisor)
The possibilities of double layer porous asphalt usage and rules for design of porous asphalt mixtures are introduced in this work. The porous asphalt mixtures PA 8, PA 11 and PA 16 are designed with different content of asphalt-rubber according to Marshall Test method. The water sensitivity, drainability, particle loss of these PA are determined. The permanent deformation and drainability of double layer PA 8 and PA 11 were also determined. The possibility of usage of this double layer porous asphalt with expected decreasing of traffic noise was proved.
Interactive spatial visualisation of EEG parameters from depth intracranial electrodes in CT/MRI images
Trávníček, Vojtěch ; Klimeš, Petr (referee) ; Cimbálník, Jan (advisor)
This semestral thesis deals with visualization of intracranial EEG. In the first part, theoretical basics of EEG is mentioned. After that, image registration, as a needed tool for visualization is described followed by research of methods of visualization of high frequency oscilations from intracranial EEG. Finally, method for visualization of high frequency oscilations from EEG in real MRI patient scans is designed and implemented.
Model of traffic lights crossroads
Klimeš, Petr ; Zuth, Daniel (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor work is concept and realisation of traffic lights crossroad model which is controlled by programmable logic controller (PCL). Model is supposed to be used as a laboratory device during practical lessons of programmable logic controllers to demonstrate basic principle of semaphore lights controlled traffic crossroad.
Monolithic concrete building at sewerage plant
Klimeš, Petr ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with design of monolithic concrete construction with a timber roof truss for a device of sewerage plant. This construction consists of these elements- strip foundation, walls with lintels, slab and timber trusses. This thesis contains static analysis of the component parts and their drawing documentation.
Developing CRM system for medium-sized company
KLIMEŠ, Petr
This Bachelor thesis is focused on developing CRM system for medium-sized company oriented on internet marketing and fully customized web solutions. In this thesis is described path from theory and analysis of initial CRM system condition to draft of changes and implementation of these changes. The result is complex CRM system fully adapted to company's needs. This system is further customizable and could be sold to company's end customers.
Diversity and ecology of arboreal ant communities in a tropical lowland forest
KLIMEŠ, Petr
The thesis focuses on the study of arboreal ant communities in a highly diverse tropical rainforest in Papua New Guinea. In the first study of its kind, whole patches of forest were sampled extensively for ants foraging and nesting in tree trunks and canopies. An extraordinary amount of material collected from 684 felled trees and 260 bait stations in plots of primary and secondary forest was used to study the mechanisms structuring the diversity and species coexistence of this ecologically important insect group at the local scale. The first chapter addresses the question "Why are ant communities more species rich in primary than in secondary forests?" and explores the main environmental traits that influence their diversity in tropical trees. The second chapter compares the community diversity and composition and nesting preferences of ant species between both forest types. The final third chapter introduces a novel method, involving large-scale manipulation of ant communities that could serve as a template for future studies focused on complex tropical food-webs of canopy arthropods and plants. In summary, the results of the thesis highlight the importance of primary vegetation in conserving the diversity of native ant communities and the relevance of nesting microhabitats and their turnover between trees, rather than tree taxonomic diversity, for sustaining the diverse arboreal fauna in tropical forests.
Larval and adult seed consumption affected by the degree of food specialization in Amara (Coleoptera: Carabidae)
KLIMEŠ, Petr
This is the first study in which seed consumption is assessed for all larval instars and adults of ground beetles. Three species of the genus Amara were examined. Larvae of all three instars and adults were fed seeds of three plant species Stellaria media, Capsella bursa-pastoris and Taraxacum officinale in a laboratory no-choice experiment. In general, larvae showed greater food specialization and the daily specific seed consumption was comparable or even higher in larval than in adult stage. Results suggest that also carabid larvae may be very important consumers of weed seed in the field.
