Benda, Ondřej ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
This bachelor thesis looks at how Czech athletes have been rewarded by sports associations over time for obtaining medals or for appearing in the finals of top international athletics competitions. The thesis aims to analyse the data obtained on athlete rewards provided by the Czech Athletic Federation and subsequently to compare it with rewards of Czech sports associations, leading to possible proposals and recommendations for the future rewarding of athletes. In the theoretical section, the thesis first describes the rewards process from a management viewpoint, including its administration and the various types of rewards provided. It then looks at the development of athletics competitions from their beginnings to competitions held today including a description of different international competitions, and the athletics associations and federations who organise the competitions. Title: The description of the running technique of the Czech record holder in sprint in the category of 15 years. Objectives: The main aim of my Bachelor study was to describe the technique running of a sprinter in the category of 15 years. Based on the methodology of educational research we evaluated the level of the running technique on the shortest sprint track in the category of 15 years, on the 60 meters, by the deliberately chosen individual. The monitored object is the current best sprinter in the Czech Republic in the category of 15 years. Methods: In the presented Bachelor study there are used the educational methods as the observation and the questionnaire. Using the observation and the subsequent description we monitored the performance of individual techniques in terms of block starts, acceleration and full-speed running. We also monitored the performance level of this young talented sprinter in athletic seasons 2009 and 2010. We used the questioning to determine the possible early stages of specialised athletic training. Results: Thank to the set plan of the Bachelor study, we recorded, in terms of the running technique of the observed subject, an individual sprint performance, which did not differ from the standard description of the sprint technique. As we deal with a competitor in...

Title: Attempt for identification of the influence of nonspecific condition training on state of organism with recreational sportspeople. Goals: Verification of nonspecific sport activity on general condition part of recreational sportsperson. Methods: The method used for verification of nonspecific sport activity on general condition part of recreational sportsperson was testing. The tested people underwent three tests during their participation in training units twice or three times a week in the period of two months. Our effort was to create same conditions for all the tested people to fulfil each task so that the results were not influenced by different conditions. Results: The program we chose showed a possible way to improve general condition parts. More than a half of the tested people improved during the testing period, however, the improvement was very little in the short time of two months. Key words: Bootcamp, BMI, well-being, trend, test

Vachová, Kateřina ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Diploma thesis title: Opinions and Attitudes of Unsuccessfully Moving Younger School Age Children toward Physical Activities Aims (goals): The main aim of the diploma thesis was to state opinions and attitudes of unsuccessfully moving younger-school-age children toward physical activities. Another aim was to create an overview of terms regarding the movement failure in the theoretical part. Further aim was to compare the opinions and attitudes of so defined children toward the physical activities to results of Kaplan (2001) and Holický (2011) and to monitor anthropometric characteristics of observed files. Methodology: The work was developed by using the method of Kaplan's research (2011). The research identified unsuccessfully moving children using a motoric testing. With this procedure the files for the subsequent determination of the characteristics of the unsuccessfully moving children were defined. Then, two types of questionnaires were used to research the opinions and attitude of the children toward the physical activities. Results: The results revealed the unsuccessfully moving children do a physical activity three times a week and occasionally. The pupils of the S2 file spend most of the time inactively, for instance by engaging themselves in computer activities or garden games. The group...

Vysoký, Hynek ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Segeťová, Jarmila (referee)
V ANGLIČTINĚ Author's first name and surname: Hynek Vysoký Title of the master thesis: The possibilities of unilateral cross-effect by unilateral shank amputation. Department: Department Track and field. Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, Ph.D. Goals: an experimental demonstration of the contributions from the lower limb muscle function with unilateral amputation of the shank by means of unilateral cross-effect and compared to individuals with complete lower limb. Method: The method of repeated application for the development of sub maximal efforts, that was selected, was taken from the heavy athletics. The method, which formed the basis of this experimental training program, was composed of four basic isolated exercises for lower limb, which consisted flexion on the leg curl machine, the extension on the leg curl machine, leg press 45 ř, seated calf machine, with an emphasis on the physical possibilities of subject with unilateral amputation. Expected changes were measured using dynamometric and anthropometric measurements of both limbs. Results: The results proved the main prerequisite the lateral load of one (lower) limb - by using the training method of repeated efforts caused spontaneous influence of the function of the other (passive) lower limb with single-sided shin amputation thanks to...
