Production of the golf club head
Žádník, Martin ; Kaněra, Miloš (referee) ; Jelínek, Radim (advisor)
Focus of this thesis is on choosing of a suitable production process of golf club head and its subsequent production. Investment casting was chosen as a process of production. Model, which is usually wax, was made on FDM 3D printer from PLA material. The casting material was chosen Maraging 200 steel. Two different putters were created and a short survey was conducted. Based on result of the survey the third model was created.
Production of castings from austenitic-ferritic hyperduplex stainless steels
Kaněra, Miloš ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
The thesis deals with hyper duplex stainless austenitic-ferritic steels and their mechanical and castability properties. The evaluation of resistance to pitting corrosion is divided by PRE values. Steels with a PRE value higher than 48 belong to the group of hyper duplex steels. The theoretical part contains an introduction to the chemical composition, structure and properties of these steels. The practical part is focused on the conditions of tendency to crack castings during solidification and cooling. Furthermore, there is evaluated influence of intermetallic phases on mechanical properties.
Inclusions in steel castings
Kaněra, Miloš ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pernica, Vítězslav (advisor)
This thesis presents basic knowledge and dividing about inclusions which, by their presence, influence quality and used property of steel casts. With focusing on basic group of exogenous and endogenous inclusions, the abstract of shapes was made as well as composition, condition for emergence and the reaction of melt which is in touch with surrounding impacts. The presence of characteristic inclusions influence technological dimension containing formability or fatigue behaviour falling into mechanical dimension. Constantly growing demands increase the importance of prevention, eventually reduction of impurity fraction with the help of steel refinement or inclusion modification. Success of suggested arrangements for quality improving is analysed by the following methods of identification.
Construction of foundry core boxes and their use for the production of silicone parts
Skalický, Jan ; Kaněra, Miloš (referee) ; Jelínek, Radim (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a mold for use in casting of plastics and rubbers. The product is two different gaskets used in the testing of tubes for automotive industry. The part has a cylindrical shape with a diameter of 19 mm and a length of 25 mm, where two holes with a diameter of 4 mm are additionally drilled in one of them. Depending on the service life, the batch size is approximately 200 pieces per year. The material was not specified, so after research two options were chosen. The first was RTV-2 condensation silicone rubber LUKOPREN N 1522 from Lučební závody a.s. Kolín and the second one was RTV-2 additive silicone rubber ELASTOSIL M 4642 A/B from Wacker-Chemie, s.r.o. The second material came out better from preliminary testing. By gradually improving the design of a simple single-piece steel mold, a final version was created which is double in size and consists of three parts. It is made by 3D printing using FDM method from PLA material. It was found that in order to achieve a defect-free casting, the mix must be vacuumed before casting.
