The effect of local heating on indoor and outdoor air quality in a rural settlement

Increased concentrations of particulate matter do not occur in urban areas only, they occur in winter time episodes of high concentrations in small settlements, as well. It is probably caused by usage of solid fuels in domestic heating. The indoor air quality is closely influenced by the outdoor air pollution. Concentrations of size-separated PM were measured by a cascade impactor (PCIS) during two winter and one summer seasons in the years 2009 and 2010 in a village Svrčovec situated near the town Klatovy. Continuous concentrations of PM2.5 were measured in parallel by using a commercial photometer DustTrak. Following meteorological parameters were monitoring - temperature, relative humidity, wind velocity, wind direction, precipitation and sun radiation. The presence of persons and their activities in the house were noted. The average PM10 concentrations in Svrčovec were higher than average PM10 concentration in Klatovy. The summer average PM10 concentrations in Svrčovec were lower than the concentrations in the town (15.5 μg/m3, 17.4 μg/m3) and the winter PM10 concentrations in Svrčovec were significantly higher (31.1 μg/m3, 24.3 μg/m3). Transgenic mouse: Experimental model for study of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

The TEL and AML1 genes occur in a markedly high numer of different aberrations in heamatological malignancies. We studied TEL/AML hybride gene in transgenic mice model, translocation t(12;21)(p13;q22). This hybride gene was searched by PCR methode in 76 individuals. After, they were examined for presence of mRNA of fusion gen TEL/AML1 using RQ-RT-PCR. Compared the blood cell analysis of transgenic and non-transgenic mice, we searched difference in the erytrocyte, lymphocyte, trombocyte count and lymphocyte ratio in peripheral blood. The TEL/AML1 positive Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is B cell precursor leukemia, therefor we used cytofloumetric analysis for study the ratio of the B lymphocytes of transgenic and non-transgenic mice.Then, we observed the leukemic cell marker of pre-B lymphocytes (B220+ /CD43+ ). Presence of the pre-B lymphocytes in peripheral blood show incomplete differenciation and proliferation of B lymphocytes, cosequently leucemogenesis.

Urban and Suburban Intermodal Fraction of Atmospheric Aerosol in Winter 2014

Fine (PM1) and coarse (PM10-2.5) aerosols differ not only in size but also in the chemical composition, health effects, type of sources, and others. A dividing line between fine and coarse aerosol is not clearly defined. These fractions overlap in the aerodynamic particle size range 1-2.5 μm, also called the intermodal fraction. Sources of both coarse and fine aerosols contribute to the intermodal fraction to a different extent relating to different meteorological conditions and types of locations. According to several studies, the intermodal fraction highly correlated with coarse aerosol in dry areas during high wind speed episodes. In contrast, other studies have shown higher or comparable correlation with fine aerosol. The aim of this study is to characterize the intermodal fraction in urban and suburban localities and estimate to what extent fine/coarse aerosol sources contribute to this fraction.

French Law Terminology in Founding Treaties of the EC / EU

Abstract The aim of this study is the analysis of collocations and their translations. This work was based on the legislative text of the European Union, namely the text of the Consolidated text of the Treaty on European Union and the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. The theoretical part describes how to obtain required text, corpus linguistics, principles of translation of legislative texts, explanations of the terms of the collocation and the term. The practical part analyzed the therms and their translation.
