Comparison of physiological parameter data generated by the Metalyzer 3B in the laboratory and the Metamax 3B for use in field research
Kříž, Tomáš ; Nohel, Michal (referee) ; Chlíbková, Daniela (advisor)
Increasing quality of the sport performance creates demands related to sports data acquisition which occurs in the natural environment. Such demands are then placed on the equipment manufacturers which need to adapt and adjust equipment for artificial as well as the outdoor environment. Furthermore, required equipment must be substantially reduced in terms of its weight as well as the size to minimize possible interference with the outdoor conditions. The remaining question is to which extent such adjustments influence the validity of the data inquiry and whether laboratory testing should be prioritized before outdoor testing. This thesis aims to provide a comparison between two oxygen consumption analysers across the unified evidence-based testing protocol. The first half of the testing is made with Metalyzer 3B (laboratory-based equipment), and the second part of the testing is made with Metamax 3B (outdoor-oriented equipment). Both analysers are produced by the Cortex company. The theoretical part of this project introduces the underlying theory of the oxygen consumption analysers and presents various methods used for the establishment of the VO2max. The practical part includes the measurements of set parameters on both devices with an identical test protocol. The t-test was used to prove statistical significance between Metamax 3B and Metalyzer 3B. Results of statistical analysis (V'O2 p = 0,54; V'CO2 p = 0,087; SF p = 0,49; V'E p = 0,2; DF p = 0,28; time p = 0,59) within the range of 95% confidence intervals.
Model of the reactor chamber for microwave heating
Kříž, Tomáš ; Fiala, Pavel (referee) ; Kroutilová, Eva (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the concept of a high-frequency chamber which serves for desiccation of emulsion consisted of oil and water where the contents of water is over 30% of the emulsion capacity. The high-frequency chamber works on frequency 2,45 GHz. The task was to design a numerical model in which a high-frequency thermic conjugated problem is solved. The design of a high-frequency chamber is made up considering the heat distribution in inhomogeneous environment as well as chemical and physical changes. The proportions of the high-frequency chamber can guarantee the biggest output transmitted from the source to the chamber with the emulsion desiccated and uniform layout of electromagnetic field. These criteria are necessary for smooth heating of the emulsion desiccated. In this diploma thesis, there were several numerical models with various proportions made up. Finally, the one with the shortest time of heating the emulsion in reference to emulsion capacity was chosen.
Web applications with respect to accessibility
Kříž, Tomáš ; Malý, Jan (referee) ; Morávek, Patrik (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with problems of the web applications with respect to accessibility. At first it describes accessibility of the web pages. There are mentioned main reasons and initiatives for making accessible web pages. The first chapter is also aims to handicapped users. The handicapped users are separated to groups according to their handicap and impacts on accessibility of the web pages. The second chapter presents methodics of the accessible website, Czech and foreign rules and lawful orders. The foreign (WCAG, Section 508) and the Czech (Blind Friendly Web and Pravidla pro tvorbu přístupného webu) representatives of the rules are introduced in the next part of this chapter. The idea of the accessible web application – electronic shop - is presented in the third chapter. There are subscribed the conception of electronic shop, advantages and disadvantages and main functions. In the next part of this chapter there are mentioned the primary rules of the writing the source code of the web pages which are used during the creating of the accessible web application of the electronic shop. Closely there are introduced scripting language PHP, database system MySQL and Cascading Styles Sheets (CSS). The part of the master’s thesis is a mentioned accessible web application of the electronic shop. The presentation is placed on http://www.xandy.cz/tmp/ and presents the accessible web system with the respect to accessibility. Creation and description of this web application is mentioned in the last fourth chapter.
Recalculation bioler at partial power
Kříž, Tomáš ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is the calculation of the steam-boiler. The begining of the thesis deals with stoichiometric calculations. In the second chapter is performed the heat balance of the boiler. In the fourth and fifth chapter are defined dimensions of the fire and is established the temperature of a combustion gas in the outlet from the fire. The fifth chapter includes the balance calculations of the particular heating surfaces of the steam-boiler. As a conclusion of the calculations of the steam-boiler is performed the total balance. In the last chapter are proposed the methods for a reduction of the quantity of NOx contained in the combustion gas.
High capacity tool magazine
Kříž, Tomáš ; Omes, Jiří (referee) ; Dokoupil, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis includes topic of large capacity storage magazines. First part is focused on description of automatic cutting tool change and divison of magazines for cutting tools. Second part of the thesis compares proposal solution and selection of the most appropriate one. Next part is focused on designing the most appropriate soliton to its details. Technical calculations were performed to verify the chosen solution.
Polyfunctional apartment house in Kasalova pila
Kříž, Tomáš ; Kalánek, Jiří (referee) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The project contains structural design of new polyfunctional apartment house in Humpolec. The building has four floors and a basement. In the first floor is designed to store food. There are apartmens in the second to fourth floors. The basement serves as the technical background and storage space for users apartments. The structural system consists of the skeletal system with a combination of brick. The building is covered with three flat roof decks at different height levels where on eis growing, on is walkable and one is not walkable.
The Design of a Rules for the Hydropower Control of a Dam Reservoir
Bednář, Martin ; Kříž, Tomáš (referee) ; Menšík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to create an algorithm by which it will be possible to devise management rules. These management rules will be able to advise a more efficient use of the hydroenergetic potential of reservoirs with run-of-river small hydro. The actual algorithm will be created with a view to maximizing the profit from the operation of the hydropower plant and using the time course of electricity prices on the market. The rules designed by algorithm will be tested in a simplified way in selected period using simulation model.
New electronics for laser harp
Takács, Peter ; Kříž, Tomáš (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe in detail the design of the electronics of a laser harp. This thesis does research on the history of digital musical instruments designed since the very beginning of electronic music. Furthermore, this paper debates over the advantages and disadvantages of the laser harp designs. This thesis lists the most common types of sound synthesis and includes the design of a power amplifier circuit. It writes about the output types this digital device has. The design of the power supply circuit and other necessary circuits, such as voltage converters, which are responsible for providing the correct voltages for all the various circuits and devices are also thoroughly detailed. The paper reviews the advantages and disadvantages of several optical sensors with different characteristics. This thesis also describes the steps of designing a High-Pass filter to filter out the unwanted ambient light. This documentation also describes a simple mist generator system, which distributes water vapor into the air. Moreover, it also describes the role of the microcontroller in this circuit and how it controls the individual elements. The thesis describes how to operate the device.
