Educational tool with power supplies
Junasová, Veronika ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work deals with design and realization of board with numerous power supplies. It includes linear power supply, switching supply without inductor, switching supply with inductor using step-up and step-down converter. The board allows to choose between various output voltages, several input filters, output filters, loads and it enables to measure the temperature of used power supplies. It can be used for education and practical demonstration of basic properties, advantages and disadvantages of these supplies. Part of the thesis is a description of power supplies for low voltages, design of educational board and demonstration of results.
Motion measurement by inertial sensors
Junasová, Veronika ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work deals with measuring specific types of movement in space using inertial sensors. It focuses on accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer. There is basic introduction to mentioned sensors, description of means of filtration their measurements and related mathematical part. The work contains design of board with selected sensors, description of sensors calibration, measurement of inclination and azimuth, optimalization of measurement, implementation of chosen filter. Functionality of measurement, calibration and filtration is demonstrated by results of measurement.
The Precise Measurement of Magnetic Azimuth
Junasová, Veronika ; Levek, Vladimír ; Šteffan, Pavel
This article deals with measuring magnetic azimuthusing inertial sensors. It introduces the steps in this process andobstacles that need to be solved in order to achieve more preciseresults. The magnetic azimuth can be determined using onemagnetometer; however, the precision in such measurement islimited. Therefore, this article also introduces measurement ofrelative azimuth acquired by the gyroscope. The essential part ofprecise measurement is the calibration of the mentioned inertialsensors, which is described in detail. The process of calibration issupported with equations, graphs, and tables. The measurementitself consists of an output from the magnetometer. The relativeazimuth acquired from the gyroscope is then combined using acomplementary digital filter with magnetic azimuth from moreaccurate magnetometer. The final results show the improvementobtained with the presented method. The article also containsinformation on a compact device designed for simple calibrationand measurement with the mentioned sensors.
Door security system
Drugda, Andrej Marián ; Junasová, Veronika (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a door security system supporting entry using a numeric password, RFID card reader and also using fingerprint biometric authentication. The whole project is situated as a demonstration of various methods of security identity verification. The main part is a material model of the door, which is intended to provide visual and clear information about the possibilities of security systems. In addition to safety elements, the work also describes the selection and parameters of the microcontroller on which the entire system is based. The work also contains essentials such as a description of the system's functionality, a display of block diagrams, hardware and software equipment, or step-by-step implementation of the project.
Universal module for supporting team games
Zemanová, Renata ; Junasová, Veronika (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to design electronic device called Universal module, which serves as an assistant for outdoor games. The design focuses on safety, simplicity and low cost. Due to the outdoor use, water resistance is also addressed. This thesis deals with selection and design of the electronics. Emphasis is given on the selection of light signaling, of the wireless module, power supply and microcontroller. The PCB design was carried out on 2 connected boards. Firmware was created for simplified programming of the Universal module and demonstration modes were also created for different activities.
Scalable thermal model of a transistor package
Klement, Matej ; Junasová, Veronika (referee) ; Otáhal, Alexandr (advisor)
Diplomová práca popisuje problematiku simulovania ohrievania diskrétnej súčiastky tranzistoru v rámci jeho vlastného zapuzdrenia. V práci boli popísané dve metódy merania teplotného odporu na základe informácií z noriem organizácie JEDEC. Model tranzistoru bol simulovaný pomocou metódy konečných prvkov v programe Ansys ICEPAK so sledovaním teploty spoju voči teplote puzdra.
