His difficult life has played an important role in his creative life, which I describe in the first chapter. Komitas Vardapet has become famous as an ethnographer of Armenian folk music, especially songs. In this work, a parallel is made between his being and output through analysis. Thanks to his perfect knowledge of the Armenian language, his dialects, the melody, the history of the nation, and the exquisite feeling, he managed to return the Armenians to their true musical art not only in music but also in words. He has crystallized the unique songs, enticing listeners with their diversity of allegorical texts and deep experience. Some of these songs are thoroughly analyzed in this work.

The first part deals with an explanation of basic terms of coloratura and aria, as they are described in encyclopedic dictionaries and encyclopedias. This part is followed by brief formal development of aria throughout ages. I continue with the historical development of coloratura from the chapter Middle Age through the following era of renaissance and polyphony to the baroque, where I am describing the origins of opera as a dramatic genre. This part is divided into two parts , in which I describe the formation of coloratura aria and recitative and also the birth of other genres in which are coloratura arias widely used. The next chapter is devoted to the phenomenon of the eunuchs, who contributed to the expansion of coloratura arias around the world. The chapters Alessandro Scarlatti, Georg Friedrich Handel and Johann Sebastian Bach, mention their compositional techniques and also examples of work with coloratura and their contribution to the future generations. The following Classicism brings compositional techniques of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his work. The next chapter, the romantic period, is dedicated to "Belcanto composers" Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti, who had contributed to the trend of coloratura techniques. Giuseppe Verdi was the last representative of belcanto era. Jiří Gemrot: Bachmannlieder
Gemrotová, Michaela ; KAUPOVÁ, Helena (advisor) ; JONÁŠOVÁ, Jana (referee)
The author would like to introduce readers to the contemporary composer Jiri Germot. The author focuses on his song collection ?Bachmannlieder? for soprano voice and orchestra. The first part (1) of the work is dedicated to the composer, his life and his journey towards being a composer, plus the different phases of his work and his favourite styles. Due to the lack of existing information about Jiri Germot in literature, the author chose to dedicate the next chapter (2) to interviews with the composer. It was thought to be the best way to introduce readers to the composer`s world and his way of thinking. The third chapter (3) is about the song collection "Bachmannlieder?, about its significance in the reportoire of Jiri Germot, and the definition of it's composition. The last part of the chapter is dedicated to an analysis of the songs and a comparison of "Bachmannlieder? with Jiri Germot`s short composition for piano ?Fünf lirysche Lieder?. The writer Ingeborg Bachmann is closely connected to ?Bachmannlieder? as author of the lyrics. You can read about her in the last chapter (4) of this work. In the attachment you can view the photography of Jiri Germot, both from his youth and recent times, as well as a complete list of his works, which contains also unpublished compositions.
R. Wagner - Wesendonck Lieder - interpretative view
Morozová, Tamara ; HAJÓSSYOVÁ, Magdaléna (advisor) ; JONÁŠOVÁ, Jana (referee)
In the work of Richard Wagner, which is constituted almost exclusively from operatic pieces, song cycle "Wesendonck Lieder" is the greatest rarity. Nevertheless, the cycle of five songs takes honorable place in his work and is often interpreted. It is particularly interesting that the cycle stands on the beginning of Wagner's seeking of his mature musical language. We can find all the elements of his style in these songs, on a much smaller space than we used to. The purpose of this thesis is not to describe composer's life escapades or to draw up a register of his compositions. This thesis aims for explaination of the circumstances of the cycle creation and show importance of this songs for Wagner's artistic growth. The main part is devoted to my own interpretative view of cycle, which was prepared to perform on my bachelor's concert.
