Detection of High-Frequency EEG Activity in Epileptic Patients
V rámci práce byly vyvinuty či vylepšeny tři detektory vysokofrekvenčních oscilací, na jejichž popis navazuje evaluace z hlediska shody s manuální detekcí, přesnosti výpočtu příznaků oscilací a schopnosti lokalizace patologické tkáně. V závěru práce jsou představeny vyvinuté metody vizualizace vysokofrekvenčních výskytu oscilací a stručně uvedeny dosažené vědecké výsledky.

Analysis of knowledge of selected universities in the field of crisis management
JIRUŠKA, Jakub
Crisis management is topical issue, that is important to know and university students should have a basic overview of general events. Crisis management means a set of crisis management activities focused on the analysis and evaluation of security risks and the planning, organization, implementation and control of activities carried out in connection with crisis preparedness and resolution, or critical infrastructure protecture. Pursuant to Act No. 240/2000 Coll., On Crisis Management, amending certain acts, as amended i tis the coordinating body in preparation for crisis situations of the Ministry of the Interior. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the knowledge of students of selected universities in the field of crisis management and compare their knowledge within individual fields. The theoretical part describes the basic issues of crisis management with basic concepts of crisis management. Furthermore, the basic components of the intefrated rescue systém and their activities are listed here. In the practical part, i tis examined through statistical methods, in the formo f a questionnaire, what students have knowledge and whether the COVID-19 pandemic has helped to improve it. This work should be an objective assessment of knowlinge in crisis management and whether the COVID-19 pandemic has helped to improve that knowledge. Utilizing this work could bring a lot of good for the work of health professionals who train first aid. In the context of first aid, the topic of crisis management could appear, about which no one has been interested so far and had no idea what it was.
Study of mechanisms influencing inflammatory and neurodegenerative processes and their subsequent treatment in ALS and spinal cord injury
Vargová, Ingrid ; Jendelová, Pavla (advisor) ; Jiruška, Přemysl (referee) ; Balaštík, Martin (referee)
Study of mechanisms influencing inflammatory and neurodegenerative processes and their subsequent treatment in models of ALS and spinal cord injury The mechanisms of neurodegeneration during spinal cord injury (SCI) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) are complex and poorly understood, which is why it's troublesome to counteract them with effective therapies. This thesis explores the pathways of autophagy, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, and the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway that regulates these mechanisms in models of both SCI and ALS. Upregulation of autophagy and the mTOR pathway in an in vivo contusion SCI injury model was confirmed. The mTOR inhibition led to upregulation of autophagy, reduction of inflammation, and recovery in acute SCI. Upregulated autophagy was discovered in the SOD1G93A rat model of ALS. By treating the ALS rats with human mesenchymal stem cells, prolonged survival of the animals and preservation of motor neurons (MNs) possibly occurred through modulation of autophagy. The involvement of the mTOR pathway in the degeneration of MNs was further explored in the context of astrocytes. Pleckstrin homology like domain family A member 3 (PHLDA3), a newly discovered repressor of the mTOR pathway, was found to lead to ER stress if overexpressed in astrocytes...
