This work primarily deals with situation of non-profit sphere in Czech republic. Concretely, I focus on communication activities of the Rakovina věc veřejná foundation in year 2010. In the first part I addres the historical and present situation in non-profit sphere in Czech republic. I accent especially non-profit organisations, which are dealing with cancer diseases,which represents the Rakovina věc veřejná foundation as well. The third part is about the importance of public relations. Next part is about event marketing, which is being widely used and plays very important role by gaining the financial assets. I assess two main events, which the foundation Rakovina věc veřejná presented in year 2010. The fifth part deals with internet communication, which is presented through web pages of the Rakovina věc veřejná foundation and its profile on social network Facebook. Also grows the popularity of celebrity marketing, which is analysed in chapter six. Chapter seven handles with the importance of sponzoring for the Rakovina věc veřejná foundation. Last chapter is focused on competition between the Rakovina věc veřejná foundation and organisation Liga proti rakovině Praha. Through SWOT analysis I recommend certain changes in the communication of the Rakovina věc veřejná foundation.

Centres of the Free Time Adrenaline Activities in Czechia as the Tourist Product

This thesis deals with questions of the adrenaline centres as the modern product of tourism. The main aim was to open this theme and to resume primary characteristics of the adrenaline centres. The thesis attempts to describe development of adrenaline tourism, to specify the localities, where the adrenaline centres are located and to qualify their influence on regional development. The pozitive effect of this thesis is creation of database of adrenaline centres in Czechia and their primary characteristics, also with the offer of adrenaline activities by the web agencies, that sell the vouchers on these activities. As the example of adrenaline centres was chosen the project of Offpark in Sušice, where the visitors filled in the questionnares. The aim was to find out primary information about the visitors of the adrenaline centres in relation to Offpark. These answers and the information about Offpark minister to brief estimation of the influence of Offpark on regional development on Sušice. Territorial Cohesion in the European Regional Policy Discourse - A General Framework and Czech Specificities

This dissertation deals with the concept of territorial cohesion and place-based approaches that are understood as a tool to achieve territorial cohesion. Specific attention is paid to Territorial Impact Assessment, which is most frequently designed as a method for adjustment of place-based approaches in order to reflect specific needs of particular types of regions. The theoretical part discusses interpretations associated with territorial cohesion in academic literature. It also analyses arguments of proponents and opponents of place-based approaches as a tool for considering territorial specificities in sectoral policies. Further, the dissertation focuses on the evolution of the Territorial Impact Assessment at the European level and its position within other impact assessment tools. The main aim of the empirical part is, first, to identify ways in which EU member states interpret and fulfil the EU goal leading to territorial cohesion and, second, to define how EU member states use place-based approaches to achieve territorial cohesion. Specific attention is given to Czechia, its understanding of territorial cohesion, and its experience with the implementation of place-based approaches. Local politics as a actors of regional development in Carlsbad region after 1989

This thesis is concerned with a function of local politoval leaders as a actors of regional development in Carlsbad region. The primary aim is to select the appropriate model areas in Carlsbad region. The main aim of this thesis is on example of three appropriate selected model areas to analyze role and attitude of local politician in development of model areas and try to define a script of development for Carlsbad region. The theoretical part deals with analyze of attitudes in regional development and analyze of selected ideas key for needs of thesis. The results of the thesis correspond to the stated aims and assumptions. Local politoval leaders are important actors of regional development, but their role is evident only to a limited extent. The biggest differences in the approach to regional development can be found between opposition and coalition politics. Determination of Q/h characteristics of spillways of the sluice chamber of the Brno-Modřice WWTP in conditions of influenced flow

The work deal with the measurement, processing and analysis of Q/h characteristics of the sluice chamber in the wastewater treatment plant on a physical hydraulic model in the conditions of influencing the overflow phenomenon by the groundwater level. Based on the achieved results, a measuring system has been projected in the area of the sluice chamber to measure the flow and flow rate of lightened water into the Svratka river. The measurements on the model were performed in the premises of the Laboratory of water Management Research of the Institute of Water Structures of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology by the author of this work. The results of the diploma thesis is a flow chart describing the calculation procedure used to determine the immediate flow, on the basis of which a new software of the evaluation unit of the measuring system was realized.

Diferenciation and revitalization of housing estates in Česká Lípa

The diploma thesis evaluates the current state of the physical environment of the housing estates in Česká Lípa. It is focused on the process revitalization of the blocks of flats and public areas and clarifies the mechanisms of differentiation of individual housing estates from this point of view and the role of actors. The work combines quantitative and qualitative research methods. The theoretical part deals with the causes of revitalization and the factors that affect it, as well as the history of housing estates construction, especially in the Czech Republic and in major countries in Europe. The empirical part of the work is devoted to mapping the current state of the physical environment and the revitalization projects of housing estates at the level of individual prefabricated houses and public spaces. Relevant data that can have an effect on the revitalization process (history of construction of prefabricated housing estates in Česká Lípa, development and current state of ownership structure of houses, data on the structure of population and housing stock) are identified.
